Word on the street this morning is that CMPD Major Jeff Estes, had to turn in his gun, badge and take home car because he failed to complete the state mandated law enforcement training required to keep his Law Enforcement Certificate.

Cedar's Take: Estes certianly has the training to be a police officer, but screw ups like this plague the department. Hot money says there are others who are having to sit on the sidelines this week.

This is true. A stupid oversight that should not have happened.
I also heard Cam of IA and IA is being watched. Seems a certain Agency is taking serious allegations of extreme misconduct. Seems this section of CMPD has become more than the joke it has turned into under Rodney. Everyone knows it is just a rubber stamp for Rodney and that he owns it.
Seems many are sick and tired of the corruption there.
We'll see.

Saw Estes around CMPD today. He has his job as always. This report just isn't true. In reference to IA being investigated. That's a joke. How many times have we heard that from the trolls on this website. There is no secret investigation, no secret indictments. Just a lot of fantasies by the disgruntled at CMPD.
Sure Estes is around just no weapon no badge no car.
IA does anyone even care? Would you work with Cam? Nope I'd think not.

Selevy has been on Rodney's short lease for sometime. Not sure what he did but Eddie Levins got the DC slot and Cam was really pissed. Seems Rodney's word isn't worth the crap on Cam's nose. But he hangs in there as one of the Chief's YES men.

Well a golden boy getting in trouble, if it is even that--is still a golden boy. He's been groomed from the pre-DNC surge, at least in the media. However you view this, he magically went from Captain to Major in the same post. This could be the beginning of something, or just an officer not keeping up with the state standards.

He did not complete state training in time...PERIOD. Not saying it's ok, EVERYONE has to complete the training but that's all to the story.
7:51 I agree not a big deal, except it shouldn't have happened. But not being CMPD I don't know if the oversight is his or department staff.
But it just goes to show you not all is well at CMPD.
