A Cord But Not Accord

Open your eyes and pay attention and you never know what you will see.

In this case a 1936 810 Cord at the Original Pancake House.

This, and I might be mistaken, is the tubrocharged cabriolet version. I am thinking there we less than 700 of these built and the Cord Automobile Company closed soon after this model was introduced.

I remember reading somewhere that people were burning their hands by walking up and reaching out to touch the exposed "flexible" tubes coming from the hood.

Duh. Grab a tailpipe lately?

Beautiful car. It kind of makes one weep for the state of the American auto industry to see what's being turned out these days.
Thanks for the post.

I've seen the car before but it has been a few years. I'd guess the same person owns it.

A Sunday driver, is something I've always wanted.
