Back in February Cedar Posts told readers how one of Charlotte’s highest paid uniformed officers was dodging payment of her Charlotte Mecklenburg property taxes.

Two weeks after being exposed on Cedar Posts, Major Vicky Foster managed to make full payment of her Mecklenburg County Taxes.
Apparently this did not go unnoticed by both the Mecklenburg County Tax Office and City Manager Curt Walton.
On Friday, City of Charlotte Human Resources sent out a memo stating that any City of Charlotte employee who has an unpaid property tax bill will automatically have 10% of their paycheck deducted from each pay check until the bill is paid in full.

Well, it seems yet another of LC's minions escapes real trouble just in the nick of time. I wonder what would have happened if the negligence had not been exposed. Someone in authority should be held to a much higher standard because they make value judgements on subordinates and citizens on a daily basis, yet remain severely flawed themselves. And this ridiculous reign continues.......
Is this not illegal? I thought that only the federal government could garnish wages? Either way, I thought that it was complete crap that all city employees recieved an e-mail the other day stating that if their taxes were not current within two weeks, they would start having their wages garnished. So Curt Walton decides in the interest of making up for budget shortfalls, he'll attack his own employees because he has access to their paychecks, but the heck with trying to collect from the multitude of city and county residents that are behind on their taxes.

Whistleblower you are dead on, its not just RoMo and RayRay its Walton as the entire mess is out of hand.
I don't know if it legal or not just the way they roll.
Curt Walton is a real jackass....and just exactly are his qualifications and his educational background? How does his resume read?
I would say that Curt Walton, Rodney Monroe, and Ray/Ray deserve one another, except for the unending, devastating harm they are doing to the CMPD AND the city.

Revenue is in a tailspin. The mayor has jumped ship and his yes men are all blaming each other.
By this time next year the truth will be out and its going to be a real mess.
