The storm continues to build, now a fourth mistress has come forward. But the collapse of the Tiger persona is the bigger story than his attraction to shanky women.
It may be news to you but Tiger is a fake, and he always has been.
From the day he made his television debut at age 2, Tiger was marketing an image.
Now we are shocked at the lack of the real Tiger we the fans of golf knew, and therefore, we all are gathered around to watch Tiger crash and burn.
Tiger is without doubt the world's greatest golfer, but he has hidden from the public under the disguise of valuing his privacy. Much like a shell corporation uses a Post Office Box in a well to do zip code.
Woods has the ability to radiate charisma yet he has never said anything of interest to his fans. Soon he will become the first athlete to earn $1 billion dollars yet he still treats the galleries with no more respect than White House party crashers.
But for Tiger it's always been about the money, so much so that even talking is something to be compensated. Justifying his use of an official website to make announcements, he wrote on it: "It's a way for me to communicate, because as everyone knows I'm a little bit shy and a touch guarded at times, and this is a way for me to express myself in a way that I normally don't."
But look closely at his site, it is not a personal blog, its an online store.
No other sportsman has done so well in becoming a god to the fans of golf while at the same time holding utter contempt for the same fans. The only golfer who has come close is Lee Trevino who once announced that no one should be allowed on a golf course until they can at least shot par.
Tiger played up to the family man persona, hugs and kisses all green side for the photographers, video cameras to feed on at every victory.
And we believed in the myth.
And so it goes that Tiger has managed to fool us all until a 3200 dollar fire hydrant became his Monica Lewinsky moment.

Everything comes if a man will only wait........................................
I don't care who Tiger Woods slept/sleeps with.
If anyone holds an athlete, a movie star, really anyone in the public up as a role model, they are the fools.
