Some things are just so stupid, that it takes you a while to take it all in. Hickory police say two men who died in a traffic accident early Sunday morning, stole a moped just minutes before the accident occurred.
Christopher Greene and Brian Lail were both ejected from a pickup truck after hitting another vehicle head-on that was towing a boat.
But wait it gets better....
Police say the pair of rocket scientists stole a moped from outside of an apartment around 1:30 a.m. by loading it into the back of their pickup truck. Once the moped was in the back of the truck the pair took off with one man driving and the other man in the bed of the truck holding onto the moped.
According to the NC Highway Patrol, the truck traveling at a high rate of speed crossed the centerline on Startown Road around 1:45 a.m. and slammed head-on into another truck that was towing a large boat.
There's more stupid ahead....
Two people who were inside the cab of that truck towing the boat were seriously hurt, but....
It gets better..... two more people were riding inside the boat received serious injuries.
Only in North Carolina folks!

You really can't make this stuff up. But it would make for great TV.

It doesn't get any better than this, really it couldn't have happened to a more deserving pair of crack heads.
