More than a week after her disappearance with still very few facts known, the media attention regarding the death of Valerie Hamilton is coast to coast.
Regardless of the circumstances of her death, we have all suffered a great loss. Valerie was known by the life she led among her family and friends as well as all the kids she taught swimming.
I would hope that someone would step forward to use all of this momentum and media attention to create a foundation that would work to protect young women from this type of tragedy.
Perhaps someone with it the Concord Police Department will get things rolling.
It seem only fitting that someone would create a Valerie Hamilton Memorial Triathlon to raise money to protect young women from having their lives stolen from them in a manner that we are now so vividly aware.
