Cedar Posts on Rush

Leave it to Rush Limbaugh to lose a battle that republicans had already won in the name of talk show ratings.

The Obama administration gave the Republicans a open shot when they moved to force religious institutions to provide contraception as part of basic mandated health insurance.

The argument against this is pretty simple, government has no business telling employers specifically religious organizations that they must provide birth control coverage in their health insurance plans.

The momentum, was on the side of Conservatives and anti big government forces.

But on Wednesday Limbaugh was in one of his jackass moods and took on a 3rd year law student Sandra Fluke who spoke before congress in favor of providing contraception for women as part as their health insurance at Georgetown University which is of course a Catholic school.

Fluke attracted attention because the week before, the Republican-controlled committee had rejected a request that Fluke testify, instead opting to listen to an all male panel of experts.

But Limbaugh equated Flukes request to have contraception as part of her health insurance to her asking to being paid for having sex.

“What does that make her?” Limbaugh said on his show Wednesday night. “It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute.”

“She wants to be paid to have sex,” Limbaugh continued. “She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception.”

Limbaugh went even further Thursday, defending his statements and suggesting that women who obtain birth control through their insurance should post their sex tapes online.

"So Miss Fluke, and the rest of you feminazis, here's the deal," he said. "If we are going to pay for your contraceptives — and thus pay for you to have sex — we want something for it. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch."

Once you get past the sick and twisted perversion of Rush Limbaugh you still have the misconception that taxpayers are being asked to pay for Sandra Fluke's birth control pills.

Sandra Fluke is right birth control pills should be covered just like any other drug in her health insurance plan, that is unless Georgetown University elects not to offer that coverage.

And Rush is a distraction, an over inflated ego on the fast track to retirement and obscurity.

Rush is one sick drug addict.

Can't believe people still listen to the wacko.

His hate filled irrational rhetoric is dangerous for this country.

It's a shame we all can't get behind someone who advocates tolerance and cooperation in politics.

I agree Cedar, and as far as I am concerned Mr. Ditto Head is the reason the republicans failed to retain the White House in 2008.

He may have done it again in 2012.

That's just it. You don't. Not on this 'argument' or any other disgusting, outrageous, inflammatory, racist, sexist, hate-filled, stupid view someone holds. There is nothing useful except to know the vile truth of the speaker.

Cedar you and I think alike, why is this even an issue? Why is Limbaugh flapping his gums and calling the girl a slut and a prostitue. I think she should sue him, unless she is I expect she will and I'm sure many people would be happy to represent her.

Limbaugh and Ann Coulter I think we can do without them.

Yes it is wrong to force Georgetown and even Belmont Abby to provide something they morally objest to. End of discussion. It never needed Limbaugh's input.

BHO's Mom " shut up Barry, from what I remember of that party, you're lucky you aren't barking!"

(as told by a Federal Judge in Montana)

Lighten up Cedar- Are your'e panties in a wad again?

Agree that Rush jumped the gun a bit and thus fell into this PC brier patch but the PC/faux concern by the progs is over the top and this 'law student' is just a troll. Let's just stick to defending Freedom and fight against the overweening Government beast.
