Notes From Augusta and the Masters
Tiger Woods, played nine holes early Monday with Mark O'Meara. Some are already crowning Woods Sunday's victor as he comes into the Masters hot after winning at Bay Hill two weeks ago.
But others are here shouting "game on" including Luke Donald and Rory McIlroy both have won tournament in the last month, trading spots at No. 1 in the world. Hunter Mahan has won twice. Schwartzel is trying to join Woods, Nick Faldo and Jack Nicklaus as the only repeat winners at Augusta.
The azaleas of Augusta have been in bloom since late February. The early spring has come and gone from the famed Amen Corner and it has taken with it the colorful blooms, or at least most of them.
The crowds tomorrow will be twice that of today and Wednesday they will flood onto the par 3 course.
Again its the Masters.
