Lies Your Police Department Tells You

During the July 23, Charlotte City Council meeting CMPD Deputy Chief Harold Medlock told Charlotte's City Council members that CMPD wanted to install on a trial basis an acoustic listening system in one of Charlotte's "high crime" areas.

Council members were told that the system would cost $50,000.00 for the year trial run, and that the system would not be in place until after the DNC 2012 event.

Three weeks later the system is up and running in center city, an area that Chief Monroe has claimed time and time again is one of the safest in Charlotte and is seldom an area affected by random gun fire.

So what else might be left off the table?

How about, the contract with SST was inked weeks before it was presented to council, that there was only one proposal, that the contract was for a trail run only, and that a long term solution would cost 100's of thousands? Well no one is saying for sure.

What we do know is that adding Shot Spotter to the uptown area where the DNC and hundreds of Police Officers will be on duty 24/7 is pointless, unless the Shot Spotter includes the ability to "eavesdrop" on conversations something that Deputy Chief Medlock has denied is possible.

Furthermore if the Shot Spotter Technology is DNC centric why not pass the expense on to the DNC?

Oh, Cedar, that is just the tip of the iceberg lies....there are so many more beneath the surface, so many!

Did Katrina Graue ever find those missing cars? Word is she is the worst of the lot.....always with the fake cutsey smile while stabbing you in the back. Cannot be trusted at all. Not that anyone on Executive Staff can be.

But seriously, it is just business as usual at cmpd since rodney, all the lies. If you don't have the outcome you want, just lie, and force others to lie for you.No big deal to them.

Screwed up cmpd for years to come...years.

Medlock lying?

So what else is new?

And there is nothing to be done about it, When the Major over IA is in the chief's hip pocket and always gives the chief the results he wants, where else can you go?

Abuse of power? Oh Yeah.....flagrant.

But when the so called "leaders" at CMPD go on camera and lie, stand up in front of CC and lie, twist and distort the truth so continuously and consistently, what kind of message does that send to the Officers? That it's okay to lie and bend the truth.....great foundation for a good police department.

No news here media dumbasses like WBTV just spread romos BS.

Once again, why would this surprise anyone?

The chief got the job by lying.

( Could we actually see his supposed degree and a copy of his transcript, isn't he supposed to be a Phoenix now?)

And harold can't even tell the truth about the simplest thngs, like how many years he has actually been with CMPD.

I know many that cannot wait for him to be compelled to testify in federal court sworn in under oath with his hand on the Bible. And all his stooges like Zinkann, etc. And all the DC's. Good times!

And just when is this going to happen?

Anonymous said...

It's not going to happen until some changes are made in D.C. Rumor has it that the FBI was prepared to indict ROMO but the indictment was blocked by the illustrious Eric Holder. Something to do with the Democrats holding their big party in this city. Maybe...

indict him for which thing?

He will have no choice.

Because of decisions that were made, stupid decisions made with egos and arrogance, he and others will have no choice. The inevitable has just been delayed a bit.

Federal court is in their collective futures!

So I hear from reliable sources.

Eric Holder seems to have a full plate with his own problems. I doubt he wants to double down by interfering in an FBI investigation....or any other Justice Dept. investigation.

But then again, he did approve Fast and Furious.

again, what do you hear and from what sources? give a freaking detail.
there are so many things to choose from, what do you "hear" he will be indicted for? and from whom? and how about offering up something so other people can help offer proof?

so sick of hearing random "inevitable" "someday" "the truth will come out" "all the ethical officers will speak up" junk. he will be on an island retired with all our money and you will all still be talking about how "someone" will "do something someday"

Patience, Grasshopper!

Justice takes time, and no one is on your personal timetable.

If you have a better idea, speak up or shut up.

Preparation is essential and necessary to insure success.

Showing your hand too early is detrimental, but hope for others that there are things coming is necessary.

Facts and proof in Federal Court will be their undoing, count on it.
