United States Ambassador Christopher Stevens is Murdered as State Department snuggles up to Muslim Extremists

United States Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens is dragged away by a Muslim Mob just before he is murdered. Cedar Posts Update: Obama Adminstration says mob was carrying Stevens to the hospital.

The US Consulate in Benghazi is seen in flames during a protest by an armed group said to have been protesting a film being produced in the United States on September 11, 2012

Yesterday on the anniversary of September 11 a coordinated attack by Muslim Extremists was carried out under the banner of "You Insulted Mohammad" and a little known film that was posted on YouTube over the weekend.

The United States responded to concerns about the film and protests via this press release:

"The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others."

The Obama administration later said the above press release was not cleared by Washington, in an effort to distance itself from the statement.

But Obama's response did little to stem the violence which was met with minimal if any Libyan or Egyptian military, police or governmental response.

The violence in Benghazi Libya eventually led to the murder of US Ambassador Christopher Stevens and 3 others.

Cedar's Take: I don't often speak out on world affairs, knowing my voice is only "spit on the skillet" but in this case I'm going to make an exception:

The only action at this point is a strong and rapid response to secure American interests, to protect American citizens and to show the world we will not sit by and wring our hands while Muslim nut cases murder our ambassadors. Mr. President you either act now or we the people will act in November.

We should slaughter as many of these goddamn dirty animals as possible in retaliation as soon as possible. My guess however is that the current administration will take the Jimmy Carter diplomatic approach going through such farces as the Hague, the UN, and other such bullshit channels. Well I say fuck that. Unleash the Air Force and lets bomb the shit out of Libya until their sands are soaked with blood.

It sure looks like he is already dead in that photo.

Or, better yet, 10:31, how about we leave these other countries the fuck alone? Why are we in Libya to begin with?

What exactly will "bombing those goddamn dirty animals" do other than make them hate us more? You're absolutely no better.

When you lead from behind you get to strange places. But it only cost the taxpayers a billion, chump change, only a little more than taking the wife out on a date using Air Force 1 etc. But, 10:31 is indeed much better than them or you. He still feels righteous indignation for injustices done to the United States. You would never understand the feeling, Achmed.

You made a fool of yourself, Cedar.

In your headlong rush to dump on Obama, you jumped the gun.

Even on Fox News the talking heads are saying Romney acted prematurely by criticizing Obama for a statement that came from the Cairo embassy before the attack even began.

If you had a grain of decency you'd acknowledge your mistake.

But you don't. Your goal is to discredit Obama and you wont let the facts get in the way.

I think Cedar is spot on, the US under Obama looks weak, sure the Usama hit was choice, but for the last month the intel was that during the 9/11 anniversary certain US assets were at higher risk for attack.

Barry oops I mean Barrack has been asleep at the wheel.

Obama needs to go and join his own people. There is a time for action and that is now to bomb those towels off their terrorist heads.

And now it escalates in Egypt, spreads over to Yemen........

09/12 @ 07:08,

So what do we do now? Sit back and watch? Fuck you, you little pacifist fink, you collaborationist scum; Admit it, you enjoy watching our flag burn don't you? It's just an expression of their right to "freedom of speech" isn't it?

Here's something to think about when you go VOTE-

The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations counts more than 100 Muslim delegates representing some 20 states at the Democratic convention in Charlotte, N.C., this week. That’s up from 25 delegates in 2004, according to CAIR.

You nut jobs condemn him for not getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan soon enough, and for not closing Gitmo. Then you want him to jump right in to more military action. Your thinking is so illogical.

And it is all based on not wanting an African American in the White House.

Romney does not have one single clue, even his own party is telling him to shut up.

And your stupid " Muslims are taking over the world" rhetoric is ignorant and pathetic.

You have no phucking idea about foreign policy, diplomacy, or the Midde East.

You sound like a bunch of ignorant, racist rednecks.

@ anon 2:02-

ANYONE that supports the current administration's foreign policy with regard to the Middle East has obviously NEVER been to that part of the world or outside of their precious, freedom of speech protected area of the US for longer than 10 mins. Take it from someone who lived there, Diplomacy and the Middle East do not belong in the same sentence together.

Look who Obama's right hand person is. A born and bred Iraqui. As long as he is in the WH the killing will go on and if you think that's not true look at the Chicago murder rate. Some believe CMPD is beyond hope, what about Chicago's PD? Democrats are clueless about crime except when it happens to themselves then scream bloody murder and blame others.

Idiot.
I am more afraid of the right wing evangelical terrorists in the U.S. than the outside terrorsts.

Anon 4:21
So what would you do? Nuke them all?
Diplomacy may be a long and hard road, but aping the tactics of terrorists would get us nowhere fast.
And I have traveled extensively in the Mddle East and have many friends that live there.

@ Anon 4:57 -

Ahhhh. Your true colors have come out. You sympathize because you have friends that live there. Plain and simple. Oh, and traveling extensively (aka: vacationing) does not an expert make. Live and breathe their culture as an American (not through the eyes of those who call the Middle East home) for longer than a vacation here and there and then you can talk about diplomacy as it relates to that region. You, sir or madame, know not of what you speak. Specific examples can be given, if you want to continue to argue that their culture is open to diplomacy.

"True colors come out" because I have friends there?
That makes NO sense at all. And my friends are expats and
natives. And I was not on "vacation", but doing humanitarian work, idiot. And you REALLY get to know a culture when you do that kind of work, when you live amongst the locals.

So no examples you could give me could convince me that we should not advocate diplomacy.

I am a Sir, not a Madame.
