City Manager Ron Carlee Has Painted Himself Into A Corner

In Ron Carlee's world calling a black criminal a "thug" is inherently discriminatory, but making fun of a one time National Hero and Olympic Star who is clearly suffering is ok?
Carlee said a city employee can’t label some people as “worthless to society” or a “waste" but apparently "Froot Loop" is ok. And that is a double standard, that says racism is bad but homophobia is ok.
The Potted Plants on City Council need to wake up, Claire Fallon needs to call those out on the left and the right for remaining silent.

But moving forward, In his statement to local media, Carlee said that “a number of concerns have been raised about management in the fire department,” and that Chief Hannan recently asked Carlee for a third-party review. Carlee said his office will oversee a management review of the department over the next 30 days. The original Charlotte Observer Article is here

That was December 1st. Today is February 20, how about delivering the report of the management at next Monday's City a Council meeting before council votes on approving the numerous spending items the department has requested?

A little side note, you see the department seal above? Hornet's nest, pike pole, ladder, hydrant and a Liberty Cap. In this logo it actually spells liberty. But recently the word "Liberty" has been removed.

Yes Liberty as in the having the Liberty to speak freely has been removed.

Ms Carlee is the worst ever. Somewhat troubling he has no qualms with wiping his lady parts with the Constitution, especialy the part about Free speech and Unlawful Search (taxpayer money supporting eaves dropping on citizens).
He wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes in his dreamland of days past, East Germany, especially with his feminine disposition.
This si getting so bad, can we look at bring back Harry Jones?

Interesting about the liberty hat, and Cedar you are correct the word liberty is gone from the department logo.

I suspect the deputy chief will be submitting his retirement paperwork shortly. Facebook has become a pulpit of stupidity! Yes you have the freedom to say what you want but not freedom of consequences! The investigator that was fired was wrong for what she said and so was the deputy chief. When you work for the public you should be very aware of what you do.....and what kind of "friends" do these people have that chucked them under the bus and then ran them over!!!

Thanks CP for sharing this information. It's too bad that the management of this city is incapable of managing their departments. There are people that hold leadership positions in the city that have the authority to correct this on-going problem, but they choose not to.

On a side note and in all fairness, the word 'Liberty' has not been removed from the CFD logo. It's just not displayed on on some objects due to resolution. The presence of the word doesn't change the fact that the practice of the word is lacking.

10:25 Thanks for the heads up. I did in fact notice that the signage at the Firefighter's Ball on Saturday did indeed use the logo with Liberty written on the cap.

I stand corrected!
