Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers arrested dozens across North Carolina over the weekend. While the arrests brought out protesters in Asheville and elsewhere, in Charlotte the arrests were little noted.
Local media ignored the Charlotte arrests that ICE portrayed as the routine deportation of violent criminals. More arrests are expected this week as targeted persons are still being sought.
Cedar's Take: Interestingly enough none of those arrested on Saturday seem to have recent arrests in Mecklenburg County. Which seems to be somewhat contrary to ICE statements.
