Musical Interlude "In the Air Tonight"

I'm always torn between this concert footage:

And the Miami Vice version (Sonny: "it was real wasn't it? Caroline: "Yeah it was, you bet it was")

Having spent a number of years in Miami I can absolutely tell you for a fact that producer Michael Mann captured the feel of "The Magic City" effortlessly.

I once actually jumped the Brickell Avenue Bridge in an Audi A8 (ok it wasn't opening we were just going so damn fast that the car "unweighted" and came down so hard I thought we'd end up in the J.W. Marriot Hotel or the Miami River.) But swear to you that the nights in Miami are always magic, the combination of the ocean and the heat add some latin influence and well Miami Magic City.

Much of Vice was filmed in Miami Dade and Broward Counties. Bernay's Cafe wasn't real but the boats were the Hatteras Convertible Sportfish Tunita Crocket's sailboat an Endeavour 42 and the Wellcraft Scarab. Talk about "product placement" Wellcraft sales shot up 21% in one year and there were more than 100 copies of the boat, dubbed the Scarab 38KV Miami Vice Edition, built by Wellcraft.
