Despite being arrested for armed robbery in 2020, 2021 and 2022 and convicted of his 2020 crimes and given a "second chance" sentence of only probation this thug was allowed to pled down to common law robbery and sentenced to just 10 months in jail on May 17, 2022 and then but given credit for the time served while awaiting trial.The judge even consolidated the charges and then completely ignored the probation violations.
From the date of his May 17, 2022 conviction until he was released on July 29, 2022, Cam'Ron spent just slightly more than 2 additional months for at least five armed robberies.
A month after his release he shot to death Joe Bay Galicia 18 and Gary Bay Galicia 20 during an another attempted robbery.

His arrest record is typical of habitual violent offenders with ever escalating more violent crimes.

Until Mecklenburg Judges, Magistrates and the District Attorney accept that there is no alternative, no redemption, no rehabilitation, and no justifiable sentence other than permanent incarceration for violent felons, homicide will be the end result. This is not just one isolated case this is continuous.
At the point which a suspect points a gun at a victim he is only 1/10th of an inch from committing a homicide. It is time that Judges and District Attorneys understand this fact. It is time that felons who use a weapon in the commission of an armed robbery receive the maximum sentence the first time.
It it time that the North Carolina General Assembly address this issue with a "take back our streets" legislation increasing the minimum sentence for commission of a crime with a weapon to no less than 25 years
The parents of the Galicia boys need to file a lawsuit against the DA and Assistant DAs the public defender's office the probation officers and the judges involved. Otherwise this madness will just continue.

Total Thug should have been put down on his juvenile record alone. 3 armed robberies and two sexual assaults one involving a five year old girl. And these are the crimes he's been caught doing.

Redemption is the Lord's work. Keeping the public safe should be a duty instilled in government. The breakdown and failure of our courts (apparently most all of the US, not just Meck County) to keep subhumans like this out of the public is a large symptom of societal breakdown. When it starts to hit close to home, communities will protect themselves. We have a long, long way to go for that, especially with how soft most of our people are, but releasing this into the world is only understood in the context of someone wishing to fast forward society's downfall.
There's no other explanation. When the DA has this at his door, hunting down his family, things may change, but this isn't going to happen any time soon. Particularly with the hourly patrols MCSO is on for the top-shelf leaders.

I remember when I started and was on 2nd shift for a few years before you could get cut loose and go straight to 1st. We had an average of 10-12 on a shift. 15 or so if it was one of those days everyone worked. 8 was the rare skeleton day.
