Between 6:11 and 7:48 Friday CMPD reporting the following traffic accidents where a pedestrian was hit:
7:48 PM - A pedestrian attempting to cross Central Avenue just north of Kilborne Drive was struck by a Cadillac Escalade and died as a result of the collision. The driver of the Escalade remained on scene. The CMPD HITS Unit is on scene conducting the investigation. Crime Scene Search is on scene taking photographs and collecting evidence. At this early point in the investigation, it is unknown whether any citations will be issued to the driver of the Escalade. Both Medic and the CFD responded to the scene. The pedetrian was pronounced deceased on scene.
6:44 PM - Male subject was struck by a vehicle after he walked into traffic. Male suffered a head wound that was initially thought to be possibly LT. After arriving at the hospital it was determined to be NLT injury. HITS responded to assist with this investigation.
6:11 PM - 15 yr old female was struck by a vehicle after she walked into the roadway. The female's injuries were initially thought to be possibly LT, but after arriving at the hospital it was determined that she had a broken leg, broken arm and a possible concussion. HITS responded to assist with this investigation.
All I can say is y'all are crazy. Slow down you idiots!
