Daytona and Danica Patrick

Have you had enough of Danica Patrick yet?

Well I haven't, yes I'm partial to 100 pound girls with bad tempers, but this one can drive.

Tapping fenders with Piquet, Jr. during Saturday's ARCA Danica let the rear end get loose and with less than 30 laps remaining she spun down into the grass and back on to the track again. “Grass is not good for grip,” Patrick recalled thinking as her car was sliding. Making that nice recovery, she rallied from last to sixth, bumping all the way to the finish.

“It was a lot of fun,” Patrick said. “I bumped from the side. I bumped from the front. I got bumped from the back. I learned a lot, and I had so much fun in a race car today. So I can’t wait to do it again.”

Despite her performance in the ARCA race, Patrick still hesitated to run close to the car ahead of hers, a necessity in restrictor plate racing to remain competitive.

"That's the kind of thing that is going to take gradual time, to get used to bump drafting," Crew Chief Tony Eury said Saturday.

Patrick's biggest reservation about Daytona was keeping JR Motorsports teammate Kelly Bires out of the event and perhaps costing a driver competing for the championship valuable points if she makes a mistake.

JR Motorsports announced this morning that Patrick will race this weekend running alongside team owner Dale Jr.

I think Romo and Ray/Ray got Danica her position. There must be something in her file. When will NASCAR tell the truth? Why can't we see her application. Open the fiel, Bill France... Wait, wrong topic. Okay, she has connections to that major at the academy...No, her driving record, she lied about her speed and now NASCAR is covering it up.....
