"He had a different way of looking at the land, the trouble at hand or any circumstance that might just come along .... and he measured his life in cedar posts and miles of barbed wire fence”.
Spot on with this one! I guess there is no insult like the TRUTH, no matter how Bigottyne tries to spin it.
Dear anon at 11:17, are you saying blatent racist cartoons should be published by the Observer? This isn't 1915 anymore.
This cartoon insults all of Charlotte not just Ballantyne. I doubt Doug Marlette would have drawn something this racist, this shouldn't have made it to press.Even if the portrayal is a slight against the Upper Class Ballantyne residents it also portrays all poor as black and stupid.
Like I said, if you live in Ballantyne you are crazy if you don't a) cancel your sub b) dump your papers off in Ann Caulkins driveway on Hopedale Ave....
So...The Observer will print that stupidity, and yet say next to nothing about the real news regarding cmpd and other government corruption. They must be in with proffitt or hoping to see their paper lose as many subscribers as possible.frankly, that is clearly the Observers opinion, and I am glad to know it. They will support corruption and slam all of the residents of Ballantyne. Someone should tell them their ignorance is now undeniable. I will never again use them for a classified, subscription, read one of their links or even use them to line the bottom of the hamster cage.
