Out of the doorway the bullets rip,
repeating the sound of the beat.
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone
And another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Queen's 1980 hit might seem a little extreme and distasteful, but Charlotte's gang violence continues to rage out of control and that is what you're thinking isn't it? Another one bites the dust.
CMPD Reports that Jermain McJunkins is the city's 28 homicide victim.
His priors, False Imprisonment, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Larceny, Communicating Threats, Discharge Firearm
Chief Rodney Monroe's CMPD is working 24/7 to slow down the homicide rate that leads the state.
The shooting death of Jermain Marque McJunkin, 23 on Charlotte's West Side, points to a long hot summer ahead, as crime stats predict a 100% increase in Charlotte's annual murder rate.
The fifth shooting death in as many days, the 28th murder this year is a sign that not all of Chief Monroe's touch is golden.
Update:
Late Thursday CMPD announced four arrests in the shooting of Jermaine McJunkins.
Darius Chapman, 27, Charles Edward Sammons, 24, Mitchelle Donnell Osborne, 24, and Suliman Malik Elamin, 30, were arrested by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team Thursday.

Your obsessive crusade against Monroe is getting tiresome. Find something new to whine about.
Doesn't sound like whining to me, just fact.
Rodney Monroe has bragged about the crime stats let's see him dangle in the breeze some.
"You know, we've got less homicide victims. Am I hiding bodies? That's not the case."
This is from the interview Monroe did with Sonja Gantt of NewsChannel 36 back in February of2010.
Hindsight is 20/20. Five homicides in five days. That must sting a little.

Here's an idea, don't read any of the Blog that is about CMPD or rodney! Wow, that's easy!
Keeping rodney and his lies current is doing the community a favor....and sending a message to him that his corrupt ways do not go unnoticed.
Cedar don't let the RoMo koolaid drinkers stop you. Stay on the case!
Hardly finished reading "Cedar Posts" today when I saw the news item about West Memphis, late noon time today. I do not like mean-spirited or corrupt cops any better than anybody else, But "West Memphis" has me feeling sick in the stomach. Being "Police" is a tough business. Maybe "Cedar Posts" can inject some perspective about the "West Memphis" event in the next few days?
"Chief Rodney Monroe's" CMPD is working 24/7 to slow down the homicide rate that leads the state.
Come on Cedar its bad enough HE thinks he OWNS them! LOL....how about instead:
CMPD is working 24/7 to slow down the homicide rate that leads the state. (Give credit where credit is really due)
Just saying.....LOL

How horrible! I just read the story. Man, our country needs to wake up and realize drugs and thugs HAVE to be stopped! NOW more than ever!
And with our local leadership it is hard to tell the difference...
I figured you would get a kick out of this:

Subject: Statement from Chief Monroe
The five homicides that our community has experienced over the last five days are troubling; anytime a community experiences a senseless loss of life it is tragic.
I want to ensure our citizens that the CMPD is working aggressively to bring resolution to each and every one of these cases. Investigative Units have made arrests in two of the four homicide cases that have occurred this week including the homicide of Jermaine McJunkins that occurred on Mattoon St. last night and the homicide of Michael Pernell Smith that occurred on Camrose Dr. this past Sunday.
The department has a full compliment of investigative and patrol units working these four cases around the clock and we anticipate additional arrests. Our investigations lead us to believe these murders involve relationships between known associates. None of these four cases are random acts of violence.
The CMPD has increased patrols in neighborhoods affected by these recent cases providing a visible presence to ensure the safety of our citizens. We have deployed specialized units including VCAT , Firearms, Vice/Narcotics and Gang to develop vital information. We continue to receive information from community members that will assist us in solving these cases. The Homicide Unit encourages anyone with information to contact them on the Tips line at 704-432-TIPS.

Don't you feel safer now?? Lol!!!

Yes, because now the officers can actually do what they were hired to do instead of having to worry about kissing butt first!
Apparently everyone is mistaken! RoMo and the RoMo-ettes found the cure for crime last year. RoMo had not been in town more than a couple weeks when he took credit for declining crime rates. Remember all the press conferences when RoMo stood before the masses clearly stating that his changes and policies caused crime to go down? If he found the cure, why is crime going up? Only a dumb ass takes credit for crime reductions because you do not want credit when crime goes up. Anyone knows it’s nothing more than a cycle regardless what idiot is in the driver’s seat. The good men and women of CMPD know (those who do not wear white shirts). It is too bad the public blind and clueless. And, the City Council and Kurt the Clown are so spineless.

Agree completely with you!
But as we have come to know and LOVE rodney, we know why he took credit, because he doesn't have a CLUE.
Honestly, he is not a smart guy, to put it bluntly. Like someone said on here before, he and ray/ray maybe had one functioning brain between them.
And from what I have heard, don't lump all the "white shirts" together.
Surely Charlotte deserves better than the level of stupidity, discrimination and cronyism his regime has forced on CMPD.
