Another Shooting In Charlotte Another Teenage Murder Victim Jamall Pickney

Murder had taken a holiday in Charlotte for the last several weeks with most crimes of violence taking place in communities outside of CMPD jurisdiction and across the state line in South Carolina.

But last night 16 year old Bryon Sadler who had been arrested as recently as December 3rd decided he'd had enough of 18 year Jamall Pickney and shot the victim at close range.

Sadler Mug Shot From December 3, 2010 Arrest for Communicating Threats

Initially the murder at 3720 Ottington Place in the University City Division was reported as an accidental shooting, but CMPD homicide defectives charged Sadler with murder early this morning after gathering evidence and interviewing several witnesses.

The Ottington Place home owned by Nancine R. Bowman.

According to Fox News: University City Division officers responded to a call for service in reference to a person at the residence who had been shot. The call to 911 was placed by a friend of the victim, who stated that he and the victim, along with a third subject, were in the backyard shed when the victim was shot.

Medic pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

What a nice young man, he was just misunderstood, he was good to his momma, but his daddy left his momma when she was only 17 and so he had no role model.

It is not his fault, that Pickney disrespected him, so he had to bust a cap in the dude head.

Charlotte's 57th murder, passing last year's record setting low number continues a trend that is troubling and predictable.

Drugs+Guns=Murder

As much as I would like to point blame at Chief Monroe, homicide is one thing he has no control over.

If CMPD puts pressure on drugs, the supply tightens and murders will tick up. Put pressure on B&E cutting the cash flow and the demand weakens but then tempers flare and murders will tick up.

Because we live in a drug ravaged society that has a segment of the population who have never learned basic social coping skills this is just bound to happen. In this case its a cultural thing.

A culture of black on black violence, that is not only glorified, but in many cases expected within that class of people.

Love it, at least someone else in this town is not scared to state facts and quit pandering to the PC fools who still blame slavery and anything else they can so as NOT to take responsibility!

Thanks

I am the Father of Byron Sadler, the fats that have been gathered today will prove that my son son killed no one. The wrong individual is in jail for this incident. CMPD investigation into this matter is flawed to the point of plain scarely. How can you be charged with murder no physical DNA of the vistim on your person, and no prints on the weapon found at the scence. The reporting person (Donvoan Johnson) had the victim DNA on him, and have been involved in several shooting before, May I suggest to this orginization that your article cross the line of slander, and correct reporting. I will expect to see a reprint no later that 30 January 2011 to avoid legal legiations. Jaamal was not such a nice young man as people would say if you knew all the facts no one would be so quick to pass judgement as to what happen, and how.

To Byron's daddy. OK first was your son arrested just prior to the murder?

By the way it is a murder not an incident as you call it.

Slander is for something you say, libel is what you are thinking.

Even so if there is some truth in the statement then you don't have much a case.

It's not a "reprint" its a retraction.

I'm sure Cedar Posts would be happy to correct this blog if the charges are dropped or reduced.

By I've got to tell you, your son looks much like he did it in his mug shot.

Maybe if he didn't look so much like a thug, it wouldn't be so easy to convict him and send him to the gas chamber.

Just saying....

Anonymous I dont see this as a murder and incident is when something is done without intention, you havent seened photo Of Mr. Johnson a photo is not grounds for conviction being a former investagator with years of military intelligence investigation libel and slander goes hand and hand in court of law one must prove the other why do you think National Enquire pays so much in civil actions. I'm not stating thing on belief, what I'm saying is pure facts from our investigator finding. So I caution you again to be very careful what you're printing. For the record I have photo copies of all your prints, and this is no threat because I dont make threats I will seek civial action if needed. Why dont you send your reporters out to gather the facts before your paper or comments make these reckless neglence false allegation and print them as truth. Byron comes from a family off Educators, lawyers, Ministers, his dress apperance is only a part of the peer group of today as mines were with african dress style of my days, or the hippies dress style of your days. Looks can be deceiving. Dad Response.
