Jackson Victims Sue CMPD Chief Monroe

Following the conviction of Marcus Jackson and the settlement of two lawsuits there is little surprise that two additional victims would come forward. But there is an interesting twist in this case the victims are also suing CMPD Chief Monroe.

Fox News Charlotte's Morgan Fogarty has the details:

The two lawsuits contend what Cedar Posts has been saying all along, that chief Monroe knew or should have known that Jackson was not fit to become a CMPD officer and that Jackson's file was sanitized before being submitted to the Charlotte Civil Service Board.

The suits claim that more than once, Chief Rodney Monroe personally intervened to prevent CMPD from terminating Jackson's employment.

Well, let's hope they are serious about going to trial and aren't just posturing for a BIG settlement!

You know monroe does not want to have to testify under oath and will push for settlememt.

I can't wait to hear the spin that will be put on this. The Question is: will even ONE command staff officer have the courage to tell the truth, even when it may jeopardize his/her career?

Cedar, you just don't get it no one cares. Stand there on your soapbox and scream all you like no one hears you.

And RoMo and his BFF Vicki Foster are laughing all the way to the bank.

Look for Foster to dodge the Waka Flocka Flame shooting after the SBI looks into her MVP Security who supplied the body guards who shot back at those arrested.

Its all connected but no one cares, so get over it!

No way Fosters security company was involved....thats great..

I thought that Rodney right hand man from DC took the fall for this thats why he left CMPD..So if that's true why are they not sueing him as well?? If he did take the fall how could Rodney possibly deny not knowing?? Put both their heads on the chopping block see who gives who up first

That is rich... Foster's very own security company involved with Waka Flaka? Now that's an upstanding citizen you want to represent....especially if you are a Police Officer!
OMG!

And I don't see how anyone could take the fall for this..the "chiefs" fingerprints are all over it.

Do you think all of the people involved will lie under oath for him? Hmmmmm...

Foster's company provided security for this? I wonder if Wacka is a christian...just saying.

Monroe and Foster BOTH need to go! But of course because they are black our city leaders won't touch them! Sick of this BS and taxpayer money being used to pay off lawsuits that should have NEVER occurred!

This would have never happened under Chief Stephens watch. It was known back then that if you were on probation for your first year and did something like this you would be terminated. Monroe is an idiot for giving this rouge officer a pass. Why would he give him a pass?

Well known fact that RoMo and his hommies all got to the same church and it just so happens that Jackson's momma is a member there too.

Connect the dots and add RoMo's "because I said so" way of doing things and you'll have your answer.

Monroe lied to the public and Charlotte City Council how can your expect him to tell the truth under oath?

And the spinless city council will not fire a black man.

So y'all better get used to it.

I hope those that have filed the lawsuit don't just settle, take it to the court, then All the records come out and I don't believe that those involved in the case would cover up for the monroe, since it would effect their status, retirement, morals, etc. The truth is so much easier to tell than a lie. Maybe this will wake up the sleepy tax payers in Charlotte to ask more questions since they just rolled over and let certain employees get raises and no one else

Wow....not even 48 hours and the city attorney says they are willing to facilitate a fair and reasonable settlement.
Boy, no "spin" on this..... You know the City Attorney said..."you did WHAT?".

Wow, can you believe this????

Please don't settle....

You know the city has been scrambling and if they have caved this quickly you KNOW they are running scared!!

If the city settles, can they still go after rodney civilly?

Just WOW!!!!!

PLEASE DON'T SETTLE!!! STOP letting them get away with lying to the public and hiding behind each other and their offices and badges. Get these people in charge out of their jobs and get new people in place that care about doing a good job. Why aren't the people of Charlotte demanding it?
