CMPD Chief Monroe Conducts A Traffic Stop

Not sure why but the who is without question. This morning around 8:30 Charlotte Police Chief Rodney Monroe was seen conducting a traffic stop on I-85 near NC 16 with his unmarked Crown Victoria.

He had pulled over a late model Cadillac and was seen talking to the driver an older black male.

Cedar Posts doesn't know if this was a good will gesture or if the Chief didn't like the way the other driver was handling his car.

One thing is for sure you can't miss Chief Monroe when he is standing on the side of the road. That snappy jacket stands out like a gold glittering beacon. Not to mention the black Crown Victoria with the Whelen "top of the line" Unmarked Code Three package.

Cedar Posts Update: November 1st, CP has emailed CMPD's Tufano and Cunningham seeking a response regarding Chief Monroe's traffic stop and requesting a copy of the chief's dash cam video of the stop. Nothing but crickets. Cold quiet crickets. Mainstream Media Ditto.

God he is Tiresome........And so very transparent, unlike the way he runs "his" Police Dept."

You know that Webster got pissed off about someone's driving and decided to "teach" the guy a lesson.

Cedar I'm surprised you didn't stop to get a photo! That would have been totally F-ing hysterical.

I wonder can you request a copy of the video? OMG that would be priceless.

Cedar,
Really, Channel 9 is doing an Investigatve segment on Predatory Towing?????

With all the other things going on with CMPD and this city, their BIG investigative story is what they are doing a story on?
Mark Becker should be ashamed!!

Cedar I don't mean to question you but I'm pretty sure you were working a charity event this morning in South Charlotte.

So how is it that you were following the Chief north of Uptown?

Just asking...

No trouble at all.

Cedar Posts has a lot of contracts around Charlotte. Thankfully not much goes on without it being noted.

This morning I was working on a charity event in South Charlotte and one of Cedar Posts contacts with CMPD gave me the heads up.

Honestly I don't have time to follow the Cheif around, if I did you can be there would be a picture or two.

There is no way Chief Monroe made a traffic stop on I-85 without it causing a major issue for the department. I flat out damn guarentee you he was pissed off about something. The last thing that POS would do is stop to help someone. Therefore anyone with the mainstream media who doesn't run down this story is not a journalist. This is huge, since he was no doubt flipping out on some poor driver in the middle of this morning's rush hour.

either he was flippin out on someone or it was a PR stunt with some heartwarming story we'll see later because they're desperate.

either way, it'll be him doing something stupid. you don't pull someone over on 85 at rush hour unless there is an absolute life-threatening emergency. I'm waiting for the tape.

Monroe working? Now that pic would be priceless!

Cedar why do you think CMPD is silent on the Chief?

As you said before Tufano is doing a face palm.

You know he went crazy on some driver.

The Chief needs anger management classes. Trust me I see this every day.

Maybe Monroe and Medlock could get a "twofer"....

Cedar I haven't seen this on the Main Stream Media. If RoMo was making a traffic stop and it was for legit reason you know Tufano would be out there with a video and still photos.

The fact that there is nothing from the MSM says it is something they would rather not see on tv.

Jesus Christ the man has a gun? That is insane.

Now do you really think Chief Monroe had his video camera running and for that matter was wearing an audio-mic...that would take away from his "uniform look" and of course then there would be evidence...just saying...

Sgts and above dont have DMVRs

okay, well surely someone can ask for his report.. at least ask him what happened?

ask him for the name and address of the person he stopped. that would be public. and then we can ask that gentelman what happened.

Somebody notify Andy Dulin about this! He is outraged at the CMPD's complaint that it is costing (they say) $1700/ day to control the Occupy Charlotte movement.

How much did this operation cost, in full, processing papers, 5 nights in the bushes with hi-tech cameras and equipment, highly-trained officers, etc... And were any other criminals operating at that time in Charlotte that could have been surveilled?

Dulin wants a special City Council meeting (also pricey) to discuss OC costs. I believe he ought to require these costs to be prepared in full for that meeting.

I wish you the best of luck in trying to obtain the video footage from either his MVR or the DMVR. It's kind of funny, how the lower ranking officer's have to have all this equipment installed in their police vehicle's. But from the Sgts and above don't have them in their vehicle's. What type of double standard nonsense is this.

Plus Tofano has his head so far up ROMO's butt that it is incredible.

Every person with a gun in the name of the state should have a dashboard cam that turns on automatically when they detain a citizen.

And they should have to answer for what they are doing and have done.

This is not supposed to be a totalitarian regime.
