I'm the person who left the first post stating I have seen you get into it with a woman at a bar before. And I can back up what I'm saying with other people who were there and saw it..it happened maybe 6 months ago at a bar in the SouthEnd of Charlotte..you were drunk and the woman, a blonde with curly hair, was trying to leave or get away from you when you grabbed her by her hair from behind and jerked her back and said something to her. She left the bar crying and you followed. It must be tough knowing that your actions, whether they be past or present, in some way or another caught up with you. I guess that's what they call Karma. As for the comment about going out and drinking because it's part of the job..while that may be a part of it, I hardly doubt it gives you a pass to be a drunken idiot.
I have enjoyed the pleasure to work with Bill over the years in studio, at public events, along with down time after taking care of 1,000 of men & women of our armed forces. YES, he part of the behind the scene work taking care of many. Good Things come to Good People. Bless You Brother
I have met Mr. Bill and consider him a friend and very good hearted person. I have asked Mr. Bill over the years to help out with boy scout field trips and he HAS ALWAYS MADE TIME FOR ME AND THE BOY SCOUTS, coming in on weekends on his time off to give the boys a memory they will remember. It is amazing how so many people jump on a band wagon without all of the facts, I do not know all of the facts and don't care to, I just know the person who everyone calls Mr. Bill.
I don't know all the circumstances surrounding the termination of Mr. Bill but if the fox used his arrest to get rid of him why did the fox give John Boy a second chance when he got arrested at Plum Crazy for drugs? Just wondering.
I can't even listen to Fox on the way home anymore. Mr Bill, you will be missed! I enjoyed your show more than any I listen to. It will never be the same. I hope you land on your feet! Hey, the Ride needs some on air talent stat! Maybe give them a call!! Miss you much, wish you the best.
I know Mr. Bill and his girlfriend. He and I go way back to the days of when the studio was downtown Charlotte. I won't mention his girlfriend's name but she is a very pretty girl and a sweetheart and I know Bill loves her ALOT and she him. I think they will end up married to tell the truth and Bill said he'd never marry again till he met this special lady. They may fight but they just like the rest of us, have to get over that first few years hurdle. The first few years with my wife we gave each other hell. Sometimes we got physical but we made it through and it wasn't out in public for people to be the judge and jury. I'm not saying they got physical because I don't know but even if they did, who hasn't at one time or another? My wife and I now get along great but we didn't always. It took several years to smooth out how we got along and I think from what ive heard, that's pretty normal for most folks. I can tell you one thing though, he is protective over her and in the words of the great Stevie Ray, you mess with her you'll see a man get mean! The problem is that their business is none of our business. His girlfriend is a smart and educated woman and can make her own choices. Nobody should tell them if they should be together or not and none of this should of impacted Bill's job! Bill was a great DJ and will be sorely missed. Lots of us has turned the channel from the FOX because it aint the same without Mr. Bill. A very drunk neighbor caused Bill problems when she came into his house and started an altercation. This neighbor has gave them lots of problems and drinks ALOT all day long. This is a piss poor shame that the Fox did this to Mr. Bill.
I first met Mr Bill when I was with the speedway. We became quick friends and I would always ejoy bumping in to him on Sundays at the landing on Lake Norman. This man is a class act and will bend over backwards to help people. Sorry to see some of this crap that people put up on these post my brother. Hope to see you soon.

Sad the slow death of Radio.
I'm thinking Clear Channel just used Bill's error in judgement to put his ass on waivers.
I remember some of Charlotte's great radio guys. Bob Murphy, Jay Thomas are two that come to mind.
John Boy and Billy had hung in there but have lost their Charlotte connection.
I'll date myself with Peaches and Parker Myers, as well as "Pass the loot", but by God those were fun times.
