CMPD Follies- Kickball League?

The following email floated to the surface yesterday. Cedar Posts is not really sure what to think about this, on one hand any sort of outdoor activity is better than none, but kickball? Isn't that for the "short bus" crowd? Doesn't a pick up basketball or softball league make a little more sense? What do you think?

Bonus Points if you can correctly name the two goobers in this photo.

Here's the CMPD email:

Looks like the Jonas brothers

I think there are so many at CMPD that could use a little workout this might no be such a bad idea. No everyone is in shape and had it come from someone other than Monroe's office I think people would join up.

Jonas Brothers for sure. I have a 14 year old daughter that is why I know.

Got to support this one. Yea its pretty lame but better than nothing and up until now we have had nothing.

Kick Ball? Seriously? Kick Ball? Could CMPD be any more Gay?

Next they will have Richard Simmons holding group work-outs in front of the LEC.

I think it is just another diversion from Monroe. Think about it, everytime he gets in hot water he comes up with some half baked brain storm of an idea.

The year book guy turns out to be a crook and ok so we screwed up but we have kick ball!

So you little people on the streets shut up, no year so what you have KICKBALL teams.

I smell a kickball-related federal grant.

or asset forfeiture designated for kickball, with huge oversight salaries and take-home cars for monroe cronies.

and some fancy uniforms.

and increased insurance premiums.

anything as long as there are no raises for officers not in his inner circle of mostly incompetent suckups.

Wow...we will truly criticize everything. Give it a break!

Homicide rate is up about 700% and they are gonna have a kickball league??!!! Crime is through the roof, but you won't see THOSE numbers!!!

Great leadership, folks, that rodney is sharp as a tack...way to set priorities!!!!!!

Do you really think this is a good use of time and resources right now?

Ths is rodney throwing his minions a bone....another hairbrained idea.

Omg he just does not have a clue, not one!!

Does he really think this will right all the wrongs he has done while at cmpd, that this will appease the troops and wipe their memories, that this will raise the abysmal morale that he alone has created???

What a moron,

you are clearly just as crazy as Cedar saying the homicide rate is up.

there have not been any murders. didn't you hear monroe declare that violent crime is down? didn't you hear him say that all crime is down? didn't you hear him say that there will be double rainbows appearing over Charlotte for CIAA and DNC2012 and coming out his ass?

you need to listen harder to chief monroe in between his car crash adventures which are cleverly designed to showcase Charlotte's NASCAR history, as he is always and only thinking of Charlotte's best interests. shame on you for thinking crime is a problem here. shame on you for suggesting he doesn't have the best interests of his officers top on his "mind."

numbers don't lie, right? I'm sure as soon as we can get the numbers for the past four years, they will be exactly what monroe says they are--as soon as all the city and CMPD lawyers stop hiding them for him.

and we'll get to see all the contracts that have been done under his reign, too.

until then, enjoy your kickball bonus.

Uh, crime is down and you will see a full field of kick ballers I'm sure. The question will be how many will play on the city's dime and if injured, who covers it?

And did anyone see "Paunchy Paul" out at the SWAT call out today? Is that raincoat supposed to be able to fasten in the front or....

kickball has become very popular again and there are many adult leagues all over the US.
