Thriller - Vincent Price

Cedar Posts is no fan of Michael Jackson, however "Thriller" remains one of the best Music Videos of all time. Beyond Jackson's dancing and John Landis' direction, the short is still rather thrilling due in part to Vincent Price and his voice over "rap" Thriller.

What better way to kick of a Friday edition of All Hallows Eve.

Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y’all’s neighborhood

And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse’s shell

The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom

And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller

Come on Cedar--if you can't dig MJ for his "little boy pee pee affinity," at least consider "This Place Hotel," "Rock With You," "Baby Be Mine," and "Off the Wall" to name a few. Much of the genius behind him was Rod Temperton, the keyboard player for Heatwave. School up, brother.
