Of Christmas Lights And Foster Dogs

This showed up in my Cedar Posts email in box and it's a must share. Any help you can give Pam would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Cedar,

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday!

This year, while we were giving thanks, my husband was talked into doing the musical holiday light display again this year (he has not done this for the last few years because its so much work.

He's feeling pretty proud of himself because he knows there is no way to hide from the flash and those lights are going to knock me on my butt every single night from 6:30 till 10:00pm. lol.  but as long as that's happening, its going to be for a good cause, so I thought you may know of a deserving rescue group that would like to accept donations for their cause at the display.

The only thing we would request is that they take a couple of dogs from the Cabarrus county animal Shelter before they are put down.

Do you know of a group that might be interested? I know you know a ton of people so I thought I would check with you on it.

I am trying to get my husband to foster this one (see pic below) for a couple of weeks at his office/warehouse until we can get him into rescue or find him a good home. Hopefully we will get him Monday or Tuesday because he's on the schedule this week and they wont delay him again. He is a really awesome dog and he has been fixed, so if you know anyone that might want to adopt him please send them my way.

Thank you,

Pam

Cedar - did you see this? It seems to have slipped by almost unnoticed. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/local/article46163760.html?CID=9491883&BSD_SID=20813

And Bob Hagemman's comment is great. He said the monument "was nowhere really" ... which sounds eerily similar to Chief Hannan's comments about the MIA Fire Dog a while back. I guess at least City Leadership all seems to be on the same page.

Just saying.

The dog was picked up today and has been named Louie. Andy with Dogs by Andy http://www.dogsbyandy.com/ is going to give me a break on boarding Louie and he's throwing in some training. Also, Louie just had all of his shots, he's neutered and has been placed on flea and heartworm preventative today. He's very chill when riding in a car. The vet says he has a great temperament. He walks good on a leash, he knows sit and down. He is 2 years old, and once Andy does a temperament test on Thursday, We'll know more. Louie will be a true treasure for anyone looking for this type of dog as a companion.
