Maybe, but back in 1987 they were meteoric awesome and this "flash concert" in LA was truly epic.
Best part everyone was up for it but the LAPD, who "didn't lose their marbles".

U2 is an Irish Band, U2 played some Iconic Hits back in the day and have been accredited with
taking a good position on addressing some big issues for a lot of humans world wide. a large percentage of Charlotte's population are Irish and Scots Irish, Ulster to be more specific. the members of many of today's Charlotte family's are "Carolina Irish" which is a mix of Irish and Eastern Band, Cherokee Indian, with a few other things added over the years. So...for us it's relevant. But you are correct, take a local civil service issue sprinkle it with some racial comments and bam....you've got a topic with 50 comments and a Lot of ignorance. How about the 3 CFD firefighters that were recently arrested for Assault on a Female, and one for False Imprisonment? Bet you never do! CFD have to maintain their 1% diversity turnover. They'll be given a pass as usual! One is a popular hypeman for the Charlotte Knights! The other two have been arrested multiple times for the same charge!

CFD is just as bad as CMPD(joke). I got off an airplane at the airport and saw 5 cmpd cops standing next to 12 TSA agents at the scanning station.
ARE WE BEING INVADED BY THE ARMY? 17 units standing around...collecting checks. Meanwhile, North Tryon Division is getting killed on patrol.

CMPD has a cop that assaulted his girl and pointed a gun at her. His name is Danny Brathraite. He is a fat black guy. Worthless officer, but we needed to hire more blacks. He got re-hired...to boost our diversity hire program.

Experienced the same shit with Motown's Willie Williams with L.A.P.D. They put a desk jokey who never spent time on patrol in the chiefs spot to appease the city as a token black chief. That coupled with Mayor Tom Bradley's agenda was a death sentence for white officers careers, while the shuck and jive club had free reign. It's the same in any democrat controlled city, common sense is not a factor in anything.
CMPD has about a dozen cops with DWI on their records. Civil Service members getting locked up is nothing new around here. I agree that the blacks do nothing around the office, except laugh really loud.
No accountability in the Queen city, It's the same with all three Police, Fire and Medic in Mecklenburg. mediocrity is rewarded, If you grind and actually try to put a dent in the sickening call volume they just hand you more calls. While the slacker's continue to malinger and get promoted for their affiliations, cronyism at its finest and if you aren't part of one of their pathetic little clicks you are doomed and dont make the mistake of confiding in ANY of the Admin staff they leak almost as bad as congress.
