Just to show you how far down the journalistic ladder the Charlotte Observer has gone, the following story is not just the "most viewed" and the most commented, it is also the most "liked" by facebook.
I'm not sure if it exposes the fact that the Observer will publish anything to drive page views or if it shows the level of intelligence lacking among Observer readers.
This is not news this is just stupid.

Rock Hill, S.C. -- A woman who was eating pig’s feet in bed accidentally cut her friend in the arm, police say.
The 52-year-old Rock Hill woman told police she accidentally cut a friend in the forearm with a knife around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Both she and the victim, 50, were intoxicated, according to a Rock Hill police report.
He had a deep cut to his arm. The report did not state if he was hospitalized.
No charges were filed, but the incident remains under investigation.
So why I'm I reading this? Hell I don't know!

Well, to be fair, it was on The Drudge Report, so that's why it got so many hits.
