CMPD's 30 Days of Death

The last 30 days have given CMPD Homicide Detectives plenty of work. The official homicide count for November is 8 but Cedar Posts adds up 12 in the last 30 days.

Through September 30, 2011 CMPD reported 40 homicides vs 48 during the same period last year. CMPD's Year end number for December 2010 is 58, so at this point CMPD's bragging rights to lowering the city's homicide rate have vanished.

As for Chief Monroe's promise to personally respond to every homicide, well he's not even close. Cedar Posts finds that of the last 12, Chief Monroe reported to 3. Cedar Posts asked CMPD to provide an official number but nothing but "Crickets" from CMPD. Although they did tell Cedar Posts that they are recording 8 homicides for November. There were 5 homicides in October.

Here's the run down listing by date and victim in reverse chronological order.

Do the 2 Oct 30th incidents go into the Oct report or November?

Of the incidents that show arrest dates, did the murders occur on the same day?

I certainly would not put it past CMPD to reduce the body count to make themselves look better, just want to make sure that they actually did it.

Honestly, that Monroe has not done what he said he would is a surprise to anyone?

And that they are refusing to answer questions about just how many scenes he has been to is how Rodney's CMPD
operates.

Just like he has refused to answer questions about if he is taking college courses towards a legitimate degree? Maybe he is getting it online, he can be a "Phoenix"' ..or someone can do it for him.

They believe they are truly above the law, that they don't have to follow rules or directives, or LAWS.

And it seems all in his "inner circle" have way too easily adopted his way of doing business.....lying, misdirecting, using people, bullying, abuse of power, intimidating, bribing with promises, did I say LYING?

Do they report a double homicide as ONE homicide?

Two issues with your count.

First, traffic charges including murder are typically not included in the homicide totals unless it's intentional. Someone who is DWI and kills someone else is charged with 2nd Deg Murder but it's not included in the Homicide totals but in the HITS totals.

I am not sure if justifiable homicides are included or not.

And no, Chief Monroe is not "hiding bodies" by not claiming those who were killed in a traffic accident were murdered. I don't believe they were ever counted in the homicide totals.

If someone can be charged with murder on any level, the number should be included in the homicide totals regardless of degree.

The definition of Homicide is the killing of one human being by another. period.

Rodney will do whatever he can get away with to give the perception of lower crime...period!! Whether or not it is legal, matters not to him, if he can get away with it, to him it's "okay". And if he has to shred, manipulate, misinform, threaten, bribe, coerce, whatever he has to do to get what he wants, by whatever mean it's all "good "to him.

Seems at CMPD It's all grey areas.

Until it strarts to unravel, until there are way too many lies, coverups and unreliable people involved.

I mean, really, is it worth going to jail, or being disbarred, to do his bidding?

We have heard how Deputy Chiefs and Majors have lied and covered up for him and for one another......who can you trust???

Below are two links to the FBI who runs the UCR crime reporting statistics. Basically, justifiable homicide and traffic fatalities are not included in UCR statistics of murder.

IMO I can see justifiable homicide and manslaughter not being included, but if they feel that the crime should be charged as a murder regardless of it being traffic related, it should be included in the homicide numbers. That is like saying its not a real murder, we are just charging it that way.

CMPD needs to read the FBI restrictions on reporting all crimes. Monroe and his cohorts are not given real numbers and still hiding truth.

Anonymous said...

Well, we ALL know Rodney will huide the bodies if he can!

Anonymous said...

Come on guys, Monroe isn't shooting them.

very few murders are the first crime someone commits.

when you lie about the other crimes, for your own benefit and others, the city becomes more unsafe.

crime and violence increase.

Monroe is doing something awful to all of us, even if it stops short of shooting (yet to be proven).

Well, he has certainly shot CMPD in the foot!

What he has done is kill a once ethical, well respected Police Department, killed it dead.
