In Case You Missed It - Trayvon Martin Hysteria
Say what you like about the Zimmerman Verdict, but the New York Daily News cover is all kinds of wrong.

The only thing to notice here is that black americans feel like this verdict is unjust (despite the law, constitution, etc.). However, when the verdict is in their favor and is similarly rediculous, they seem to have no response. Ignorance is bliss. That is the new american dream
the jury got it right. The prosecution deserves to be disbarred for brady violations etc. The attempt to charge him with child abuse right before jury instructions was also insane.
A big part of the problem is shows like Dr. Drew and the rest of HLN are skipping over major facts in the case and just trying to rile people. If you did not listen to the trial, you may not know that they did that. That is dangerous and makes no sense.
I agree... The vast Majority of people who have the most to say about this case did not watch all of the testimony during the trial, they just regurgitate information they hear on TV.
The case is tragic, someone lost their life, another life will never be the same, they are in fear of their life and in hiding.
I watched the trial closely and after hearing all of the testimony, the verdict is really of no surprise. There were numerous facts of this case which disproved any allegations of ill will, malice, premeditation, etc, all which are necessary to substantiate a murder charge. The defenses case for self defense was extremely strong and there was a substantial amount of evidence and testimony that supported that claim.
Justice does not always mean that someone is found guilty of a crime, it simply means that the judicial system performed as it is designed, and with integrity. Anyone who watched the trial closely knows that the judge ran a tight ship. A jury has spoken.
Check what really happened when the races are reversed....
Roderick Scott went out of his house to confront a trio of punks breaking into cars in his Greece, New York neighborhood. Scott’s story was that he fired two rounds at one of them when the young man charged hime after being told to freeze and wait for the cops. So, we largely have an inverse image of the incident in which Trayvon Martin perished, complete with the kinfolk weeping thusly . . .
“The message is that we can all go out and get guns and feel anybody that we feel is threatening us and lie about the fact,” said Jim Cervini, Christopher’s father. “My son never threatened anybody. He was a gentle child, his nature was gentle, he was a good person and he was never, ever arrested for anything, and has never been in trouble. He was 16 years and four months old, and he was slaughtered.”
Alas, for the future value of the Christopher Cervini trademark and subsequent merchandise sales, young Chris didn’t really look like the son of anyone famous or influential. If they’d had one.
Jesse Jackasson and Al SharpTON have found yet another venue to stage their egomanical, self serving, grandstanding by whipping the ignorant into a frenzy over a verdict delivered by a hand chosen group of people who swore to give a fair and honest appraisal and verdict of the evidence. The verdict is innocent, period. Shutup Rev.s Jackasson and SharpTON. You two clowns just run your own race further down the social scale everytime you act as crusader. While you promote whining and government intervention on every issue you two decide is unfair the Asians have passed blacks up on the social scale, and you can bet the Hispanics are not far behind. When are you and your race finally going to get it? Never, I suspect, as long as you two jerks are around.
