Monday Odds and Ends - Trump 45 Edition

What a week! Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States of America and that really wasn't the biggest news.

The real news at least via what was trending on Twitter was Melania Trump -

Comments of Stunning and Wow were often followed by Elegant as well as Channeling Jackie Kennedy.

Sadly Michelle "O" stepped put of the White House wearing "plantation chic" looking like Oprah Winnfrey's co-star in a Color Purple.

Cedar's Take: Had to be a stratagem, some sort of strategic move, knowing she could not out dress the new first lady she opted to go with the communist workers party look aka working common people vibe.
On Saturday The "Woman's March" took to the streets of Washington DC and Across the Nation -

The highlight of the DC event was showcasing liberal nut bags like Elizabeth Warren, Ashley Judd, Michael Moore, America Ferrera, Scarlett Johansson, Alicia Keys, Gloria (I thought she was dead) Steinem, CNN's resident racist Van Jones, and Madonna.

You can watch their rants here if you like.

Speaking of Madonna She May Have A Little Trouble With The US Secret Service -

The Secret Service has reportedly said it will open an investigation into Madonna after the singer told the Women's March on Washington crowd that she had thought about 'blowing up the White House'.

Donning a black "pussyhat", the music has-been caused more controversy by dropping the F-bomb four times, sparking a slew of apologies from broadcasters airing the protest live.

She went on to speak of her rage at the election result, telling the crowd she had thought a lot about 'blowing up the White House' but knew that it 'wouldn't change anything'.

Secret Service Office Spokeswoman told several reporters that the well known singer had crossed the line and that the Secret Service takes all threats seriously, even more so when they are made in public and broadcast nationally.

Media and Twitter trolls were having a grand time this weekend with Barron Trump -

Easy to make fun of the kid, he's at that stage of adolescence where young boys are ungainly totally awkward and he's the sort of kid who looks like he's about to die of boredom. Still some of the attacks have been pretty heartless ie:

Katie Rich a senior writer for SNL who tweeted this gem soon after the inauguration had wrapped up. She later deleted it but has refused to apologize.

So Katie please consider this, he's only ten and 50 years from now Katie you (and pretty much most of the rest of us) will likely taking a pernament dirt nap, and he'll be partying like a rock star spending his father's billions and sleeping with our great granddaughters - all of them!

Yep, last man standing.

And then there was this:

I'm not sure the kid on the left will ever recover, in fact becoming a monk in some far away corner of Nepal might seem totally the right move to him right now. The stark realization that all of his father's talk of getting some "pussy" must seem just totally revolting.

Moving On - With a more local note:

Maybe you've noticed these green parking meters around Charlotte. They aren't really parking meters, they are CMUD water sampling stations.

Sampling Station Located at Raintree Country Club in South Charlotte
CMUD (Charlotte Water as they would rather be called, got a major black eye over the meter reading fiasco a few years ago and they needed a more contemporary image and so Charlotte Water was born) has a team of water quality staffers who do nothing but collect samples of water around Charlotte.

You probably didn't know that Charlotte Water staff take samples from all over the county to make sure your not drinking water like that in Flint Michigan.

Every Green Dot is a sample Red Dots are samples that are of concern.

Harris Teeter stores, Country Clubs, Office Towers, just about anywhere they can get a sample. And so with the need to have reliable access to regular testing locations Charlotte Water decided that the expenditure of an estimated $500,000 to add sampling stations around the county was reasonable.

Speaking of Flint Michigan Don't you think that Michael Moore would try and improve the local government in his home town? Yet you don't hear @MMFlint saying much about that.

Nope, he was in D.C. at the women's march telling everyone he's "joined Planned Parenthood". I sure hope someone tells him he's not pregnant and it's weightwatchers he needs to join.

Finally, mid rant Ashley Judd interrupts @mmflint from the middle of the stage diving head long into her rant. That clip is here.

CP's Take: You can't make this stuff up.This is better than any fiction and if Donald Trump would just let these idiots do their thing he would be a great president. But he's a nut case in his own right, spending the weekend raging about media reports of "low turnout" at the inauguration on Friday. The numbers don't lie and no one expected the same mass of people who showed up for Obama's 2009 inauguration.

But Trump is going to keep on insisting that the media is biased and he's being treated unfairly. He has surrounded himself with psychopaths and leg humpers like Kellyanne Conway and Sean Spicer, who are willing to tell the emperor his clothes look awesome.
