Can't Make This Up Patrick Cannon Arrested Yep Patrick Cannon

An Ardrey Kell High School student was caught with a stolen gun in a vehicle in west Charlotte, according to CMPD. No surprise, but wait for it.....

Patrick Harrington Cannon, 18, yep the son of the former Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon, was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and resist delay, obstruct.

Police said they were called Sunday around 4 p.m. to an apartment complex on Leake Street for a report of a man with a gun. The caller said the man had assaulted someone from his church earlier that day and had returned to the area, according to police.

When officers arrived, they said the caller pointed to Patrick Harrington Cannon and said he had a gun in the vehicle.

Police said Cannon lied about his name and birthdate.

While officers were speaking with him, his father (Yep the Former Mayor and convicted felon aka "Show Me The Money" Patrick Cannon) showed up, saying he owned the vehicle and gave his son’s real name, according to police.

Police said they found a gun, which had been stolen in Gastonia, under the driver’s seat.

They said they also found a gun in the trunk of the former mayor's car.

Patrick Harrington Cannon was charged and released to the custody of his father, whose driver’s license was included in the arrest paperwork.

The younger Cannon is due back in court on March 5, 2020.

Patrick Cannon resigned as mayor in 2014 and pleaded guilty to accepting tens of thousands of dollars in bribes from undercover FBI agents posing as businessmen. He served nearly two years in federal prison and was released in 2016.

Who says the city officials are corrupt? I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree

Can you imagine the outrage if the little thug had pulled the weapon and took two in the chest?

I would have had beat his black ass white. He'd have a GED from CPCC and I'd see that he was dropped off at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island ASAP! No Excuses Best of Luck!

Well dad actually helped the guys make the case on this one. Hmmm. Reformed?

Sounds like he was cut some serious slack. No bail, No jail time, No cell, No orange jump suit. Didn't impound his car, the list could go on and on.

Dad wanted to let the kid hold them straps since he ain't got no right to do so his own self! He was all like, "Whew that was a close one, glad junior took it for me. I better call my pal Spence and get all this shit taken care of." I'm surprised McFadden hasn't gotten him back in front of the judge to get all of his rights restored. And laugh all you want at 'ol Patrick Cannon. Before you know it he's going to be back on city council or county commission and then probably the mayor again someday.

Poor kid, had a horrible example to look up to. Why is this suburban AK kid doing over in West Charlotte trying to be all bad ass? Marines may be the only place to snap his head back into place and save his life.
Orange ain't my color. lolololol

He is on a fast track to a toe tag. $10 says he doesn't see 21.

You may have noticed the local media has given this the complete down low treatment. This POS deserves nothing short of an active sentence to be served in Raleigh. Expulsion from CMS and removal from society. Ardery Kell has had enough heart break with the murder of Jenna Hewitt why risk having a violent offender in attendance? CMS needs to expel Patrick Cannon now.
