CMPD Officers are searching for this suspect in connection with Friday's shooting and murder of CATS Bus Driver Ethan Rivera.
CMPD believes the suspect’s car to be a 2003-2005 black Honda Pilot. You will notice that the black Honda Pilot has running boards. The backup lights on this model are the large squares on the sides of the license plate.

A distinguishing feature of this model are the back-up lights on either side of the license plate.
This is a fairly popular model in Charlotte. If you drive one I'd expect to be pulled over until the shooter is arrested.
Come on Charlotte let's get this guy so the rest of us Black SUV drivers don't have to worry about getting lit up and pulled over.

Pretty sure this ain't my Aunt Betty, but she drives the same ride (just dark purple), so give her a break if she goes 4 miles with her hazards looking for a public place to pull over when you light her up. She still lives in fear from Blue Light Bandits from maybe 30 years ago.

Lets face it CMPD couldn't catch Covid if they were drinking from a shared cup in the ER. This dude is long gone, and unless they get lucky and get a name, and have to get VCAT to hunt him down, he has a better chance of facing justice on 485 at high speed than worrying about CMPD finding him.
