CMPD Still Looking For Karen Baker's Killer

CMPD is still seeking information and a suspect in the murder of Karen Baker, age 48, who was shot to death last Wednesday in the University City area during an armed robbery.

Ms. Baker was using a Bank of America ATM that is located on University City Blvd in Charlotte just before dawn 5:53 am.

CMPD today release photos of the suspect and a "getaway" car they are also seeking.

In the photos released by CMPD the suspect, a black male, appears to be charging a semi automatic hand gun.

He is wearing a black Nike hoodie and a stretched or cut out ski mask. With dark presumably black warm up pants and black shoes.

CMPD also released photos of the suspect vehicle. A 2011 or 2012 Black Doge Charger with factory rims.

There may also be another suspect apparently driving the black Dodge Charger.

Wondering why CMPD waited a week to make this information public? Also seems that the CP had this information last week and it was also in the comments. The media is just afraid to say Black?

Homicide is short staffed. Give the unit a fucking break.

According to Blake’s LinkedIn he handled hundreds of criminal investigations he should’ve just transferred there

Blake worked in Steele Creek and the LEC office. It’s not really 10 years of real police work.

How many open homicides? 32 by my count. This guy is in the system. This ain't the first time he's done this.

Public Information Officer is a job for a liar. Everyone knows that, so it wears on you. He would rather stock shelves which is fine. Some other corner boy will swoop in there and watch it’s a gay dude.

2 Noogies always makes it easy, give them another week and the fear creeps and the paranoia and before long they think everyone is a rat.

Re:: 7:47

You do realize that using the phrase “Noogies” just proves the point some make that officers are raciest. I would hope you could make a point without pulling out your ignorant card but I guess I am wrong….

I actually think the term Noogies is rather endearing in a sympathetic way. As if to say this subspecies of humanity just can’t help themselves and while we will have no mercy we do pity their lot in life.

Re: 1:56

Of course you do, so remember that when these cases go to court and the Defense attorney say the PD has thing against people of color—-idiots like you simply prove their point to the Jury.

Let me bring it down to terms you may be able to understand, you are an ignorant fool who is part of the problem you complain about…….simply put you are no better than the city and county leadership we have, you are just not as smart as they are but hey, keep it up and then complain about the justice system that exists. As they say, you can’t fix stupid.

BTW, furthering the proof of idiot officers, where is the officer that is looking for his Ponzi scheme “pledge fund” money or the one looking for a chicken sandwich —- maybe ask a smart friend to help you understand what I am trying to say.

It’s samwich not sandwich….just saying 😆

0802 you are not at all correct here! Yes, a defense attorney can try to make any argument they want, proving it is another issue. People are posting here, mostly anonymous so you can't prove anyone posting is actually a cop, they could be actors, wannabe cops, children of cops, any of the criminals that the blog posts are about, etc. Any number of people but not actual cops. Maybe ask a smart friend to help you understand what I am trying to say!!!

If you hold a juris doctorate then you need to get your money back from the issuing law school, unless it's from the fine establishment of the Charlotte School of Law, then I completely understand your confusion.
