Charlotte Homicide No. 68 Somewhere In Charlotte

I remember when the “Local” paper would send a “journalist” to a murder scene maybe even a photographer to get the story. Now they just guess calling the location “commercial area” and grab a google street view. Pathetic!

The Charlotte Observer says "Homicide discovered in commercial area, well at least Queen City News gets the location correct.

Charlotte's 68th homicide occurred just before 9 PM on Sunday after a few days of no body bags the Queen City got back at it adding to the list of murders in July.

A week ago Charlotte voters re-elected Vi "Lightfoot" Lyles as mayor and of course she will not call out or even speak about Charlotte's drug, gang, and black crime problem.

According to WBTV's Dee Dee Gatton: Charlotte City Council District 2 representative Malcolm Graham said. “I’m extremely frustrated, every morning I wake up and watch the news, and there’s another shooting in Charlotte,”

Graham went on to say the approach to tackling the violence has three components.

The first, he said, is “trying to work with our state delegation to get more resources for the local district attorneys office.”

The second, “working with Cure Violence—with Violence Interruption programs to try to get with individuals on the street.”

And another component he said is creating “more opportunities for, recreational opportunities through our park and recs, our boys and girls clubs, etcetera, to keep our young people off the street, into productive activities which leads away from crime.”

Graham said that as a community, we have to be able to resolve issues without turning to a gun.

He’ll be hosting a forum on gun violence on Sept. 15.

Charlotte City Council District 4 representative Renee’ Johnson provided WBTV the following statement:

“The safety and wellbeing of our community and residents is one of the most important priorities we have and really that is about so much that happens in our community – not just policing. Jobs and economic opportunity are also critically important to how we address crime and violence in our community.

In the most recent city budget, we allocated $16 million of ARPA funds to support job and workforce development. That is in addition to several steps the city has taken to engage with our community in this fight against violence, such as the Alternatives to Violence program, the SAFE Charlotte grant program supporting community organizations, and launching the Community Assistance: Respond, Engage, Support (CARES) Team.

As pathetic as the Charlotte Observer is there's a level of stupid that is just without equal as the same black council members again and again present the same tired tropes of equity, violence interruption and "alternatives to violence".

Until black leaders admit that this is a decades in the making cultural problem and speak out against all forms of criminal behavior within their community nothing will change.

Just other crime, just another statistic. So sad for black people in a system set up against them. I’m trying to push on my LT for reals, though.

Dee Dee Gatton OMG what a Total THOT!

What’s the body count up to now? Should be simple addition, maybe even multiplication some days. Where is BLM?

Speaking of math, which was not my strong subject, 2 vaccines + 2 boosters + 2 face masks should not equal COVID twice.

Dee Dee I'd hit it hard!

Woodlawn is a total Charlie Foxtrot! Forget how many homeless they put up in that QInn. Just park across the street and watch the flames cooking crack pipe all night long.

My issued CMPD PRIDE bracelet will be promptly placed in the nearest garbage receptacle. This forced move is against my religious views.

Anonymous said...

6:09 PM you're kidding right? Please tell me you are just joking and that CMPD has not issued PRIDE bracelets?

Anonymous said...

Check ur emails. You are authorized these issued bracelets. Wonder how much they spent. They should’ve settled the pledge fund lawsuit with that money

Anonymous said...

FOP guys weigh in here. Are the bracelets legal? Do they violate Christian officers rights and religious views and freedoms? “PRIDE comes before the fall”. Read the Biblical history on Sodom and Gomorrah! Shame CMPD, Shame! You will answer to the God Almighty for your homosexuality sins! Will Christian officers be targeted if they don’t wear the bracelets? Is this the mark of the beast cmpd style?

Anonymous said...

CMPD has always supported the mark of the beast. Homo status and Muslim officers doing rituals. Some officers have devil tattoos on their body.

It’s scary.

Can't wait to see Vi Lyles in her tutu Again!

You know that WSOC said the murder after this one was #67 for the year, right?

"We can't hide the dead bodies." (Can you name infamous person who said that here?)

Gross that people are miscounting dead people. Some might say criminal.

Anonymous said...

Who’s going to wear the rainbow bracelet. Be honest

Anonymous said...

Nah this is 68. WSOC is always wrong. I figured it was a guess anyways since they roll back the numbers. Like does the toddler off Monroe road count? What about the teen girl at the gas station in Mint Hill? What about the pedestrian killed by the drunk white woman driver?

Rodney kept asking where am I hiding the bodies.

Cedar, there are no more journalist, just news readers and those who retype the press releases sent to them. Ever wonder how easy it is for Fox to string together these clips of network anchors using the same words to spread the party message, it is because they got the same press release and all Fox and sometimes CNN has to do is google the story for the reporting clip for replay.

Newspapers have managed themselves the way they tell us to run the country and it has pretty much shut the industry down.. TV stations used to report the news but now they use their “reporters” as anchors because the news broadcasts bring in the most revenue for their station. They start their broadcasts at 4 am and go for most of the day—-more concerned about ad revenue than reporting. The various anchors who are not on the air are sent to the site of the crime/wreck/killing and so on the read what was sent to them in the press release or police radio traffic. They don’t take the time to dig for the story because facts are overshadowed by using words which will draw an audience and generate the most ad revenue. There are no more journalists, just readers spreading the message they get that is best written and telling the story they want to spread. It is a sad state of affairs.

So a CMPD recruiter wrote on LinkedIn that the organization has a long history of excellence with an impeccable reputation and strong community relations. Recruiters are the biggest liars. My recruiter told me that we were getting a Union when I signed up.

Local news always quick to report a murder but a shooting, if they reported on every shooting that is all they'd have time to report on. How many last month? 200+ is what I heard.

next time someone gets capped in the department remember that the “mourning bands” go in the box to the right of the “rainbow bands”. f’ing place has lost its gd mind. didn’t the pride folks want us to stay away from them last year? during covid you couldn’t go to church or bury grandma but monkey pox is here and we can’t cancel a “festival” that will spread it. i gotchu fam.

Anyone as old as me remember the questionnaire we had to fill out to be a police in the early 80’s? Being a homosexual disqualified you from the job. One of the old timers back then told me they viewed that behavior as deviant, disgusting and a mental disorder. My how far we’ve come.

Number 70 is in the books or as Cedar likes to say in the Bag!

@7:44. I remember! As they called it then...
"Have you ever had Queer Sex?" If you even stuttered to that question then you had no job with the dept...

Non Law Enforcement Meck Co resident here.

Question:

I noticed the MCSO no longer has arrest info and mugshots on line. I assume this is part of Sheriff McFadden's WOKE culture.

Doesn't anyone find this troubling.

Why don't we just fund what Graham and others want to their level? If we had proper funding for rec leagues, Boy & Girls Clubs, CARES, and all the rest, this summer increase in violence would not exist. It happens every year, and goes on because our children are not engaged in the learning that encompasses their minds and hearts during the school year. Bored and excited young men with nobody to engage their curiosity. This is what Big Brothers, Boy's Clubs, Scouting, PAL and so many other programs are all about

And what harm is it to wear your rainbow band? Do you know what support you would bring to an LGBTQA+ person by showing your allyship when you respond? And why did CMPD stop with a band? Can't we have a new badge that shines in the translucent rainbow? A trans youth is 100X more likely to become a victim of gun violence than hxr cis friend. You may be the person who helps them see the next day.

@0806 lololol the satire is perfect

Anonymous said...

7:44. Yes that is correct. If you is a fag they didn’t let you police. Why you think they still have the crimes against nature statutes?

Anonymous said...

0806 lol Thugs don't want any rec league or PAL or Scouts - what to be gangbangers and that is the limit of their motivation. They don't want to excel at school or sports. As for transyouth give me a break - the only reason they are trans is because someone told them they were trans.

Liberals some seriously sick F'ers

I think kids today want to be athletic stars more than any other time. Once upon a time, Charlotte used to take guns off the street with Guns for Kicks programs. If people of another generation responded to Dell Curry, I know they would respond to Lamelo Ball. Turn in a stolen gun, get a pair of whatever the new expensive shoes would be.

I think the same would work for prescription meds too. Make it no questions asked, and build trust in the community. Too bad it isn't occurring this week or next, right before CMS starts back. I know our youth would respond when they see someone like Ball, who worked their way through high school to achieve at the highest level. Maybe not so much for Baker Mayfield, since he came from a different community, but Ball would work.
Charlotte missed the boat with Cam Newton. he could have been a presidential type leader, but Jerry squandered that chance.

CMPD currently claims to have 1900 sworn officers that are eager to serve.

You gonna talk shit about MCSO robbery response squad, but not your own false claims??

Anonymous said...

MCSO is FAKE police. They only hire those un-hireable by legit law enforcement agencies. I mean why the F would u want to work for McFadden Clown Car show?

Anonymous said...

For the record, CMPD is fake police too. Get with the times.

Anonymous said...

Yeah… I we just wondering. Is our DA a Soros backed DA? Asking for a friend

Anonymous said...

What is the point of doing police work if the DA doesn’t convict any felons?

Please answer the question.

Anonymous said...

Bossert you’re a coward for not allowing officers to 43 a first degree kidnapping vehicle. We may as well have “security” written across our backs instead of “police”.

Anonymous said...

Did a sgt cancel a 43 after it struck an officer yesterday? Classic
