CMPD 3rd Quarter Crime Report Crime is Down! Sorta.

Today CMPD Chief Johnny Jennings said that while crime is generally up violent crime is down. Sorta down at least if you just short the 3rd quarter numbers 30 days and and compare Year to Date numbers as of August 31st instead.

But if you look at "reported" real 3rd quarter numbers Homicides are up by 26.9% and Robberies are up by 6.4%. However Rapes are down as are Aggravated Assaults.

The real question is do you as a taxpayer feel safer this year than last year?

Nearly 8 in 10 murder suspects where out on a no cash bail at the time killed someone. Most had prior arrest records and several had violent crime arrests only to have the charges dropped by Mecklenburg County's soft on crime DA.

CP's Take:

Smoke and mirrors at its finest.

Homicides up 27% but we’re doing great! Says the guy who wears sneakers and a backward traffic vest. Keep up the good work, Faggot.

Starnes put a guy in jail for murder when he was innocent for 3 months so how do you complain about no cash bonds? They might be innocent of charges..

You can't lie about stats. Charlotte is safer today than yesterday. Pandemic angst has dropped, and so have violent crimes. School is back, so the petty property crimes are down now. Charlotte is much safer today than in the early '90's when the city leadership was all white.
FACTS!
To 2201's point, no cash bonds put innocent people in jail. It is against the tradition of innocence until proven guilty. Our DA and justice officials are doing fine work, along with those of us who pull the weight at CMPD.

You’d think they would know you don’t put RED letters on a blue background…. Then again make it hard to read…..

"You can't lie about stats" Hilarious! All you do is downgrade an aggravated assault to a simple assault.

Is Garnes coming back as a rehire?

The cmpd is a funny place. You can go from third, to second, to first shift. You can get moved up to Robbery or Homi, only to get dumped back on third or second. It’s a just a merry go round.

Anyone remember Melissa Marino Sharp from dispatch? Yeah. Turns out she was screwing my husband. Guess the stereotype about cops cheating on their wives is true.

711, which cop?

Not giving a name but it’s University Division.

She's a HO! Not to mention the University Division Officer is an idiot too!

Dear “anonymous”, delete the post or your husband’s name will be shared. This isn’t a rag magazine or Jerry Springer.

So, you wanna try and slander my name after being gone from the department for a year, Natasha Anderson Homan-wife of Mike Homan P4434 is the UCD officer I haven’t been with-and I am not a Ho. So whomever runs this site-lets say this is slander and I really don’t want to move further with the justice system. I also have the other posts from Facebook, the fake accounts. Bullying, harassing and stalking. Hmmm….should I seek legal counsel?

636 - I’m sure you’re aware that it is not slander if there’s any sliver of truth to it. And as your reputation proceeds itself, it’s safe to assume there’s truth to it.

It’s me, hi, I’m the problem it’s me! Any officers out there taking credit for my reputation that can hook me up with back stage passes for T Swift?

Yeah. You is a HO.
