We might as well just let the Left yammer on about the “Insurrection” and how crazy voter fraud conspiracy theories are, and how bad Donald Trump is and that he should be in prison.
Yet how many Americans are really convinced that our election process is fail safe?
I mean unquestionable integrity?
The trouble is as the nation has become more and more polarized the elections have become closer than ever, so little anomalies that would have just passed as oops now make a difference.
We can no longer tolerate the “its good enough for government work” slogan when the margin of victory is less than the margin of error.
You’ll notice that the mantra of the left is “no evidence of widespread voter fraud”. In other words, there was fraud, but it wasn’t widespread so it’s OK.
And that is total bullshit. Even more so if the margins are tight.
CP refuses to be one of those who just complains so here are some steps to fixing it:
Voter ID
I hate the idea of voter ID. In my life nothing says community like the annual Tuesday in November trip to my polling precinct. There typically in the pre-dawn darkness I’ve gathered with friends and neighbors for 20 years. Several of the precinct volunteers know me, if not by name by my loyal always one of the first in line every year presence.
Standing in line with neighbors in the cold or rain and being accepted on my word alone makes me feel like a patriotic American, a sense of belonging that can’t be replaced with an ID or iris biometric scan.
But I give, even my Democrat wife says we need voter ID.
Mail In Voting
What used to be known as absentee voting has become “Mail in Voting” for lazy people. I way I see it, if you’re too lazy to go to a polling place on election day you are probably too lazy really understand who you are voting for or why you are voting.
Mail in voting is only as reliable as the US Postal Service. In other words, not at all.
Yes, we should accept ballots from people who are serving overseas, out of state or can’t otherwise be expected to travel to a polling place.
However, mail-in-ballots open up a vast opportunity for voter fraud and the best way to minimize the possibility of fraud is to limit the number of reasons you can submit mail-in-ballot.
Accepting Mail-In Ballots After Election Day
Countless states allow mail in ballots to be counted post-election day. Some as much as a week after. This too is insanity. Establishing a uniform stated due by date across the nation that provides for up to and including election day is a must.
So now lets talk about eliminating the Sketchy Shit:
Ballot Harvesting
I’m not sure where or how this started and why in the world anyone should believe this is acceptable.
“Volunteers” at my great aunt’s nursing home offered to help residents complete their absentee ballots and deliver them to the local election board in person by the stated deadline.
If you can’t see what is wrong with this, then I’m out of words for you.
Ballot Dumping
Another concern is ballot dumping. During the 2020 election in several key states Donald Trump appeared to lead only to have a massive amount of votes the majority of which were in favor of Joe Biden appear at the last minute.
While in most cases this can be explained, the perception is of impropriety.
Drop Box Voting
Are you kidding me?
Free Bus Rides
This would be fine, but they are only offered in poor neighborhoods to mainly African American communities. This “equity” bs is unacceptable.
Door to Door Voter Registration
The is the equivalent of vote buying. Register people to vote and then return to collect the ballot.
The Answers are Simple:
Uniform across the board results need to be the rule, in other words no more of the as the returns come in results
The simplest way to eliminate many of the integrity concerns is to not announce any results until the final vote is counted.
Stop reporting the number of precincts reporting and partial return numbers.
Watching the “Returns Come In” is a time-honored American tradition but this process leads to distrust.
No vote tally should be released prior to midnight. The votes should be counted with the results being known only to a very select nonpartisan few.
Once 100% of the vote is counted then and only then the results are released and made public.
And set a cut off to publish the results of midnight.
There is simply no reason to be counting votes a week later given the technology we have on hand.
If I can buy $4,000.00 worth of marine grade diesel fuel in the Bahamas and the charge converted to US Dollars posts to my account and my remaining available credit calculated and visible on my phone in about 15 milliseconds, there’s no reason not to be able to count votes across even the entire state of Texas or Alaska inside four hours.
Shorten the election season to no more than six months
As a Nation we have become entirely too “invested” in politics. Primary day and election should be set on one day in the spring and our already established Tuesday in November. Same day set coast to coast. As a nation we need to stop wasting our lives consumed with politics.
Election Day Federal Holiday
Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte recognize Juneteenth as a holiday, the State of North Carolina does not. Neither does South Carolina. Our president Joe Biden led United States Federal Government recognizes the separate Black Independence Day.
I’m in favor of an Election Day Federal Holiday as long as Super Bowl Monday is also a holiday. If it helps lets call it Sports Monday to honor and celebrate all American Sports Heroes and their wonderful contribution to America.
Signed Paper Ballots
This is a no brainer or is it? I’m not sure, given the behavior of the Justice Department and FBI I’d say no. Once you have been given a ballot you name should not appear anywhere on the ballot unless you’re a candidate.
Close Elections
Close elections bring added concern about the legitimate outcome.
Our two-party system is flawed in this way. A 49.6% vote vs a 50.4% vote is not a decided victory. Worse is the 39.7% vote vs a 40.6% vote where 19.7% of the vote went to vote for “other” or voted some unknown write-in candidate.
The trouble is those who vote for their dog or the outlier Libertarian Party Candidate. While this should be acceptable the concern for vote miscounts is increased by 50% 1 of 3 candidate races versus 1 of 2 candidate races. The chance for error even doubles when there are four candidates.
Ranked Choice
This too is nuts, as it basically makes your vote count for someone you didn’t actually vote for.
Post-Election
Donald Trump ran an extremely loud and critical campaign. With endless disparaging remarks being the norm. Joe Biden promised to be the adult in the room and return America to normalcy.
Joe Biden also promised to unite the country but he did just the opposite. Today the relentless hate from the left combined with the FBI and DOJ witch hunts means when the tide turns it is going to be ugly and that explains the massive amount of lies and denial coming out of the White House.
The January 6th riot showed the incoming administration that there were in fact grave wounds that needed to be healed. The absence of Donald Trump on inauguration day was also problematic.
But Joe Biden made it worse not better. Forget all the stupid presidential moves, the fact that he promised to shut down the virus and not the economy but did just the opposite. Rather than unite the country he did just the opposite.
We need to make sure the next President offers a united voice and not a hate filled moron that offers total buffoonery versus leadership.
Non-Court Recourse
What makes for great news is often a factual distortion. The election was stolen, and we are going to court to prove it. Distort the results and generate a lot of publicity and then get a court to toss the results.
Sounds great on paper but it the real world it is insane.
No candidate should have to go to court to challenge an election result. Nationally we need to have a failproof and easy process for non-judicial review. Judicial review is nothing more than politicians deciding elections and that’s a nonstarter.
As with the January 6th committee anything less than a nonpartisan review would be self-defeating.
What do you think?

Notice to CMPD who resident in Southern Mecklenburg and Southern Gaston counties. Please make sure you vote for Pat Harrigan as he's got your back and the democratic offering Jeff Jackson is as anti police as Lawanna Mayfield. His ACAB bumper sticker is just a hint he has for LE!
Yawn
LaWanna Mayfield? I’d tap that ass
8:16….well she’s a man.
Jackson is a moron. No way that cop hater gets elected.
At least he scraped the ACAB and BLM bumper stickers off his Ford Fusion.
Anybody else done that stupid class with the privilege walk yet? Can’t believe officers aren’t refusing to do it. Completely racist.
Jeff Jackson seems like a nice guy but the stuff he said about CMPD during the George Floyd protests is disgusting. Check his twitter feed and it looks like he deleted everything since summer 2020.
But he was totally pro face diaper and shutdowns. All about vax mandates and BLM. We don't need idiots like that and he has yet to call out BLM and has don't nothing to support CMPD in any regard.
So 2:31 you wouldn’t support Jackson because he hasn’t done anything to support CMPD however 90% of the commenters on here hate CMPD with a passion.. Interesting ……
I think 2:31 is getting at Jackson is a LGBT BLM grifter who has never held a real job and is willing to endure the personal attacks because if he wins he'll have a lifetime pension and access to 100s of "deals" and perks that comes with the job.
Jackson is just another BLM supporter who have deleted all his pro-George Floyd tweets in fact all this tweets prior to 2021.
1431, I guess by reading the comments you aren’t smart enough to figure out that the “90% of the commenters on here” that hate CMPD, hates what the department has become but loves law enforcement and policing. In case you haven’t noticed, CMPD is less about enforcing the law and more about being politically correct. Jeffery would like more political correctness/BLM/etc and less law enforcement while the “90%” would like more law enforcement and less of the BS. Different reasons for the dislike.

541, I work with the Feds but I do agree that CMPD is a joke. It’s just low quality garbage and diversity hires. I love policing but CMPD is not policing.
So 6:11 please enlighten us all on your “Federal” Postal Inspector Job and all the “real” policing you do? In 30 years, I have worked with the “Feds” many times and they are some of the most clueless individuals I have ever worked with. Dumber than rocks.
I am old enough to remember Waco, Ruby Ridge, Olympic Park Bombing, Eric Rudolph, please tell us all about the great police work you “Feds” did on Richard Jewell? Sept. 11th great Intel..without all of your great assistance on these Bank Robberies there would never be any of them solved.
“Feds” and Policing are two words that are never used together. So please, shut the Hell up, Open up another register and give me a roll of stamps.
What the Hannha ya'll? Give the postal inspectors a break. It's hard working six hour days and doing it five days in a row!
1204, we have worked with the jail to move 1000s of illegals back to Mexico until recent years. Running busts on dens of tax evaders and wanted men. It’s solid work and we love it. Please go back to blocking traffic and taking that DV call. We will let you know if we need something.
Let’s revisit the privilege walk of shame. What the hell is that? I have avoided that bullshit class as long as possible.
The fix has been on in Mecklenburg County since Pendergraph was leading the County Commission vote by 5 points at midnight, and the next morning he lost to Jennifer Roberts by 900 votes as all precincts but 3 black ones reported their votes before midnight, but Democrats were not sure how many extra votes they would need until later.
Amazing how security footage from the Atlanta Arena are now banned across all social media, since it showed poll workers, after asking all poll watchers to leave for the night because a toilet leaked on a different floor, then they pulled boxes out from under the tablecloth covered table and ran the newly discovered ballots through the machine 4 times. Why would they do that?
557, please allaborate further? What class?
The voting process is safe and accurate! Nick Mackey and Gary McFadden were elected. What more do you want?
