US President Joe Biden will travel to England and then on to a NATO meeting this week were once again US foreign policy will be put to the test. Questions regarding cluster bombs and Ukraine's membership in NATO are likely topics.
Sadly, US Foreign policy has a record of failure. We often do not fully understand the resolve and commitment of foreign powers to wage war:
Korea, Viet Nam, Afghanistan and now Russia.
Further we have failed to grasp the metrics of destabilization:
Cuba, Libya, Iraq, Panama, Somalia and Haiti.
We have also failed to understand the lack of value even of the most punitive of secations:
Iran and now Russia.
As taxpayers our voice needs to be louder. If Biden's hearing is as bad as his cognitive ability seems we are in some serious stew. The clown car of White House Cabinet Members is once again circling the area. Watching Janet Yellen bowing endlessly in a comic performance before her chinese counterpart should be a wake up to all American's.
We are screwed!
On Saturday, Yellen met Vice Premier He Lifeng, and bowed effusively on meeting the top Chinese official.
Yellen said Sunday told a press conference that her talks with top Chinese officials have helped put ties on 'surer footing'.
Former White House staffer Bradley Blakeman, who served during President George W. Bush's administration, told the New York Post that Yellen's kowtowing to the Chinese official was inappropriate.
'Never, ever, ever - an American official does not bow,' said Blakeman. 'It looks like she's been summoned to the principal's office, and that's exactly the optics the Chinese love.'
As we saw with Biden's Afghanistan withdrawal clearly the adults are not in charge.
