Mint Hill Police Department Speaks Up

Late Friday afternoon, the Mint Hill Police Department released a statement explaining why they did not charge Jackson that night.

"Officers spoke with Mr. Jackson's estranged wife who stated that she would prefer if Mr. Jackson left the property. There was no evidence of domestic violence. Officers spoke at length with Mrs. Jackson who stated that she did not want to pursue any charges or apply for a domestic violence protection order. Mr. Jackson left the premise voluntarily. Mr. Jackson voluntarily told Mint Hill officers he was a member of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department."

Mint Hill Chief Ledford.

Sources continue to tell Cedar Posts that Mint Hill Police Department Chief Tim Ledford called Chief Rodney Monroe regarding Marcus Jackson within days of the September 28 incident and followed up with a detailed email stating much of what the Mint Hill Police Department has stated above.

Additionally sources tell Cedar Posts that the Mint Hill officers upon learning that Jackson was a CMPD officer, had an obligation to contract their supervisor at Mint Hill who in turn would have contacted CMPD.

So who at CMPD responded to the call from Mint Hill? Either Jackson's Sargent or the CMPD Duty Captain learned of Jackson's attack on the night of September 28, 2009. That call would have triggered both a call to IA and notice to Chief Monroe.

So not only do we have a memo, but prior to that we have contact from Mint Hill to CMPD and that sort of thing isn't just idle water cooler chat!

Ah, but domestic violence was not the issue now was it there Chief Ledford?

A simple breaking and entering was the issue. Was there evidence of a B&E, Chief Ledford?

And while we are at it, did anymore from CMPD and/or the city of Charlotte contact MHPD regarding this matter after Jackson's Dec. 30th arrest?

I look forward to a statement on that.

Give it up. The public isn't foolish enough to believe all of you critics dont have an axe to grind because you're forced to work now that rodney has taken the helm. The Prince Darrell gravy train made it's last stop. No more sitting on your arses behind a desk with no accountability. No more unjustified take home cars wasting taxpayer money. No more ineffective specialty units and weekends off. Time to buck up and serve the community. You may be able to dupe the media, but not the public.

I say pitty the fool. Webster is a fool. He thought he could come down to Charlotte and run the show like DC Metro with all the perks and kickbacks.

It's not happening, and now he's got his ass backed into a corner.

Webster has been canceled!

You obviously haven't been around the Rodney Reign of Terror.

Take Home Cars? Do you have any idea how much money has been spent on rodney's little "car program"?

You are SO off track and uninformed it would take WAY TOO LONG to catch you up.

Let's just say CMPD, under rodney, was over two million dollars OVER budget his first year here, and this year he is already 2 million over budget.....and this doesn't take into account all the LAWSUITS that are coming.

Oh yea, rodney has been real good for CMPD and Charlotte.

And what part of LIAR do you not understand?

Go shill somewhere else, and tell rodney, "Hey"!

What does that moron Anon 8:40 think he's talking about? I think he/she is talking about everything Romo has put in place. "No more unjustified take home cars wasting taxpayer money." Why don't you take a look at all those brand new fully marked patrol cars with state of the art lightbars but absolutely nothing on the inside. Their only benefit is to take the officer to and from work, just so he can get a patrol car off the line that actually has equipment. Now that's a waste of money. "No more ineffective specialty units and weekends off." I think every specialized unit Romo created is a waste of time. The whole FMT idea is a joke! And I can't tell you how many FMTs I know of that pretty much have some version of weekends off. The RACs Romo created don't work weekends or after hours. So, Anon 8:40, you're pretty much an idiot.

JAT:

You are absolutely right!!

From what I have heard, there was a Major, under rodney's orders, who was "communicating" with Mint Hill Police.

So what MHPD did say was probably true, they really didn't tell us much more than we already knew, did they?

ANON 840 YOU are an IDIOT. Obviously you are just writing to hear yourself talk and to provoke remarks like you did. And here is another..You, romo, ray ray, foster, pearsall, story, kornberg, medlock, chiefs secretary, chiefs babies daddy, miller, will all be out on your double A one day and I wish I were there to see it. If I were still there every one of you would be out on your double AA for sure. I would be the biggest pain in your AA you ever saw and if you dont beleive it ask around. GOD help you. Everyone of these people lie to benefit themselves, s on people just because they can . They best be thinking about the near future when romo is gone..It will be Revelations all over again. Dont worry about the pale horse, its what comes behind him you should be worried about.

Just a thought, but why doesn't someone, not an officer for obvious reasons, submit a Freedom of Information Act request for emails, along with attachments, that Rodney has sent and received over the past couple of months? I am sure there are some interesting things in there. He probably thinks if he deletes it it's gone forever.

Great idea!!!!

Cedar, JAT and Keith Larson,
PLEASE don't let this story fall off the radar.

That is what rodney and et al are all hoping happens, that is why they are being uncommonly quiet about this.

This is such an important story for Charlotte AND CMPD.

The officers deserve better, the city deserves better.

And furthermore, rodney needs to answer publicly for what he has tried to cover up.

He needs to LEAVE.....but I am sure that NO ONE else wants him, I mean, really, rumors and controversy have swirled around him everywhere he has been. He will never again be any kind of an effective chief of police, or even police officer.

Maybe there is a place for him at Blackwater, or something like it?
It seems his ethics(lack of) would probably mesh with a company like that.

Or he could become a partner with Vicki Foster and her security company in DC?

Whatever, he just does not ever need to be in law enforcement again.

Corruption seems to turn up wherever he lands, I don't believe it is a coincidence.

I worked a case where an ex-boyfriend kicked his ex girlfriends door in and strangled her to the point that she had to pretend that she was dead before he would let go. Another case is when a ex boyfriend did the same but would strangle her until she was knocked out and would revive her just to do it again. This went on for about 20 minutes. The felony charges were dropped down to simple assault. Where were all the domestic violence advocates when this women were told that a most their offender would receive was probation. The victims and police asked these groups for help but since they get their money from the county they cannot go against other county agencies. So pretty much they are useless when it comes to fighting for victim's rights.
