CMPD Pledge Program - Update

At last night's FOP meeting attended by a handful of members a vote was taken to move forward on trying to figure out what happened to the Pledge Program.

As many of you already know the Pledge Program was nothing more than a very unsophisticated Ponzi scheme. And as will all Ponzi adventures those who got out first are winners while those who wait are losers with a CAPITAL "L"!

Winners who withdrew from the plan received around $10,000.00 but as the number of Officers "pledging" to the plan shrank so did the balance of the fund. Turnover at CMPD and younger members declining to participate also added to the pressure on a house of cards.

Finally when rumors of a "problem" began to circulate the domino effect took hold and that was all it took.

It is doubtful Charlotte City Council will step in to "prop up" the plan or that there was any criminal intent. Additionally Mecklenburg County and City of Charlotte budget processes for the next fiscal year are nearly complete. Given that council darlings like WaWa Mayfield and Action Braxton what to use CMPD funding cuts to fuel their own pay raises, you can bet its all but over for the pledge fund.

To Be Continued......

Looks like another cop got busted this week. DUI....DV Assault....Druggin kids....what the fuck is next? Stukey on some prostitution sting in Huntersville?

Nudes of Stukey would be nice but I'd rather get back what I put in the pledge fund. I hope Cedar is wrong and it wasn't just a ponzi scheme but from the sound of things I may stand a better chance of getting those nudes of Stukey.

I don't know if Mike Peacock is running this scheme, but it wouldnt surprise me. That dood was involved with ACN, so maybe he mismanaged the money into a new house or sumthing. He lied right to my face at the LEC.

I'd like to see the full books on the pledge fund and the benevolent fund over the past 10-15 years. I remember at one meeting Monroe telling someone from the benevolent fund to cut a check to someone for something unrelated to general benevolent fund activities. When they tried to explain it to him he said, "It's all my money, cut them the check." Which they in turn did...

Let’s see what the lawsuit reveals. Odds favorite are Monroe and minions pillaged that fund.

Was bellamy really in charge? Was peacock really involved? Seriously?

Leave Amy Stukey out of this! I was at the concert the night she got her ass beat. Poor girl can't fight worth a lick.

1 year to GO!

I have no idea who Amy Stukey is (although we share some of the same 'friends' on Facebook), but goddamn if there aren't a bunch of folks on CP who are absolutely obsessed with her. She shows up in the damnedest CP threads......and why? Don't know.

I have never met Amy Stukey but maybe she needs a fan page? But Steve is right she shows up in the damnedest threads.

308 Reply: Bro, why you shouting? This is a cmpd/cfd post page where people go to get the real facts and answers. We can't get them from our chain of command. That's a LT that you all are talking about regardless of her past. Please show some respect to the years of dedicated service from a veteran of civil service.

There are so many things wrong with command and its only going to get worse the only thing that keeps me from going to DOJ or elsewhere is family and there's that blonde working 3rd shift I keep seeing. You know who I'm talking about.

Lay off Stukey. Ffs. If you need help. She’s the first one there. That’s all I expect from a fellow officer and she passes the test. So let it go.

hang onto your suit! money should be at hand.

When the department put the pledge funds in the police general fund they claimed responsibility and the management role of it! Yet RoMo's spent $100k out of the g-fund to remodel his office.

Not sure about this one- but it has ties to Putney.
A group of CMPD and some officers outside of our agency officers went to Mexico City, Mexico to get an understanding of the culture. The trip was originally going to be funded by outside group who backed out and that's when Putney said CMPD will pay for it. I heard it was over $100K and it too more then likely came from the general fund. None other then your own Foster went as a chaperone. I heard she fell off of a bicycle and injured her knee while there, but I'm not sure if she filed workers comp. There were conflicting stories about what liquids she might have consumed prior to her biking accident.

**Now command stsff wears business attire instead of their departmental uniforms further distancing themselves from the department and all of its inequities.
