916 area code. Why do we need a company in California to find the next chief? Are there no companies in this city or state able to do the job?

Look around the country at the Chiefs and Sheriffs that actually understand the complexities and requirements of the job and are good at it. They are few and far between.

Leadership - I watched that MOFO Rodney Monroe at the CMPD Annual Luncheon hit the buffet line first ahead of every officer in the room. The idea of leading by example was a concept he could never understand.

Empathy - If the guy doing the presser has never stacked-up in apartment breezeway it is hard to watch him explain about split second decisions. If he's never bothered to be in the hospital ER when the wife of an Officer is told her husband didn't make it he likely lacks any real empathy for rank and file.

Fiscal Responsibility - Sure that Dillon Tactical SUV would be sweet but how many 6'5' CMPD Officers are squeezing themselves into a caprice?

Morale - I watched Rodney Monroe walk past a sergeant at a Hornets game with 20 plus years with CMPD you know the guys with the shit load of service stripes, they aren't hard to spot. You think he would at least acknowledge the guy but no.

Command Presence - You either have it or you don't.

Anyone think different?

Hey!! Don't knock that DTV or the Dillon CEV for that matter...you gotta ride in them or use them sometime...they are awesome!!! And I thought everything you needed to learn about leadership (but was afraid to ask) was learned at the CMPD command college?

Its going to be a black person from DC or Cali area. You know they won't be from the south.

I like Bellamy, so let's give him a try. He worked hard to burn off all those pounds of body weight. Good for him.

Ok lets play. Who do we not want for Chief? Number one on the list is that talking out of his ass, red-faced disaster Harold Medlock. He is the the absolute worst collection of wheezing DNA in this dump of a city. A tub of sewer water would be better qualified.
